I've never before had the experience of thoroughly enjoying a trip to the optometrist. The office looks very dingy when you walk in, and there's no receptionist or anyone there but Dr. Spector. But he is one of the most personable people I've ever met, and seemed in full command of what he was talking about. He suggested that I may have an irregularity with my cornea, and didn't try to sell me a new pair of glasses. I'll still have to see how it turns out, but I left feeling impressed and grateful. The cost for my regular eye appointment (for glasses) was $50.

I rarely give out bad reviews on google maps, but Spector really deserves this one. I should say that what I experienced at Spector Eye amounted to verbal sexual harassment. I got contacts from Spector Eye a little more than a week ago, and went there again today for a follow-up examination after wearing trial lenses for a week. If Dr. Spector was personable in our first meeting, his behavior in the follow-up meeting was not only inappropriate, but hugely insulting. When I complained that with contacts on, I have trouble focusing my eyes on my phone with dark background lighting, Spector tuned down the light, and said, "You just want us two to be alone together in dark, do you?" When the meeting was almost over, Spector said, "You can always call my number. We can always get together at any time." My attempt to ignore his words seemed to have no effect on his behavior, and this litany of insults only ended when I gave him an eye roll. So if we are a woman and reading this, do not go to Spector, and if you are not but abhor casual sexism as I do, do not go either.

Absolutely Outstanding Experience after just randomly popping in after taking a stroll downtown, sipping boba! I met and fell in love with Dierdre who’s a the most savvy, sassy, professional and funny optician ever! Like l love you! The store was immaculate and beautifully organized. It’s by collection not gender! They have some of the most high quality and fashion forward glasses in house and they’re willing to let you try every and any pair on, as many times as you want. I had such a difficult time deciding and really wanted a statement pair of glasses. There’s bold and classic options with everything in between! I cannot find appropriate words to express my gratitude for stumbling into this wonderful business! Bravo to you all!

Walked into Kennedy and Perkins in Guilford to pick out frames for prescription glasses and sunglasses. I was helped immediately and could not have been happier with the selection and the service and the assistance and the advice I received. It was a delightful experience and I left feeling so happy I walked in. Cannot wait to get my new glasses. I cannot recommend more highly and will definitely go back for all my glasses needs in the future.

This review covers all locations, most notably New Haven & Branford. I am a long-time customer and recently had a rare, indeed, issue with lenses. This problem was not with the Kennedy-Perkins Team, but rather with a “partner”. The prompt, understanding and caring support from Robyn in Branford and Jennifer in New Haven crystallized for me why we continue to choose Kennedy-Perkins. Family owned, not corporate! Thanks for your superb service.

Everyone was very nice and Dr. Kaur was great. Appointment was quick and efficient. Minus two stars because my contacts were very expensive ordered through them. If I go back I will take my Rx elsewhere for a better deal.

As of today, I could say I will no longer step foot in this facility. I don’t know where these people come from. It’s always somebody different every time I go all attitudes suck they don’t know how to take criticism from there customers and their communication is terrible so I expressed my feelings about me sitting in the room for all most 25 minutes and the doctor couldn’t handle it and ask me to leave you can’t ask me to leave and have the nerve to ask me to reschedule. There’s no way I would ever go here again worst experience ever I wouldn’t recommend this place at all

Dr. Kaur is the best, sweetest, cutest & most considerate doctor ever! I have my whole family going here cuz of her. Would definitely recommend her!

Dr. Joel was the first eye doctor I ever had at the age of 36 because I was having issues seeing distance. I just turned 50 and I just came from his office. He isn’t always available but there is also a younger, enthusiastic, intelligent and caring doctor. Her name is Dr. Kate and I highly recommend both these doctors. Even the staff out front are friendly and caring.

Don't bother calling this office for a routine eye appointment as I did this morning unless you want to wait at least 4 months!! The receptionist who answered the phone when I called made it sound like it was completely normal to have to wait that long for an appointment (the end of November). This office's appointment policy embodies what wrong with the health care system in the United States.
