I really feel that negative reviews about wait times following the pandemic are unfair. My appointment was at 8:10 and I was seen at 8:15. Dr.Shieh is very kind, thorough and takes the time to discuss all aspects of the exam and your eye health/history. All of the other employees are always upbeat and kind. I have been going here for over 10 years and have consistently had good care and service.

Doctor was great, very friendly, answered all my questions. She was very good. I give the doctor 5 stars, if the staff wasn't just standing around talking about what they did the night before and verified my insurance prior to the appointment.
lens crafters staff didn't confirm my insurance prior to appointment, half way through exam told me I had to pay $100 for the exam. Even though I was required to enter my insurance information online when scheduling the appointment, 4 days earlier and received a confirmation call for the appointment. How hard would it be to confirm my insurance during the call?

I really like Dr. Wagstaff, so even though I have to wade through an eerily empty mall to get to her practice, I'm a loyal customer. My only complaint is that they were running late. To be fair, all doctor's offices run late, and it WAS a 5:00 pm appointment, and late-day appointments are notoriously likely to be late. Staff is super helpful and accommodating.

Dr. Julie Wagstaff has given me wonderful care not just now but in the past. I see my ophthalmologist, and I see Dr. Wagstaff for refraction because she does such a great job. She is so pleasant and nice, it makes the appointment enjoyable.

I have talked to two other people who said they had very awkward interactions with the eye Dr who has replaced Dr. Middleton. He rushed me through the 1s and 2s and kept asking me to repeat myself, I had to raise my voice repeatedly so he could hear me. My friend gave him another chance recently and said the same thing, he rushed through the exam and actually gave him the wrong prescription. I was hoping that my friend would give me a report that the Dr has improved since the last time I had been there (is he just new to this??) but no, same uncomfortable interaction and we will both be finding a new eye doc. Dr Middleton is severely missed.

I have been a patient of Dr. Middleton and Family Optometry for over 8 years. The doc is one of the best, he always explains everything thoroughly, i never feel rushed and he is one of the nicest people I've ever met. The other staff are always warm and friendly and provide great service and timely repairs with my glasses if needed. Highly recommended.

Dr was hurried and rushed thru my exam. He did not explain anything he was doing so I have no idea what he tested for or found. Did not dilate my eyes as every other eye doctor has, so I'm not sure if I even got a full exam. I told him I … More

Last December I contracted Shingles above my right eye and as I was being treated, my PCP referred me to the Eye Institute to make sure that my vision was not impaired by the disease. From my very first visit, I felt that I was in good hands in protecting my eyesight. My physician was Dr. Lillian Yang and I have nothing but high praise for her as she made sure that my recovery stayed on track. She was very proficient and always addressed my concerns as to what I was feeling about my sight. When I believed that my shingles had flared up I alerted my PCP and Dr Yang, who ordered another round of antiviral meds as a precaution to keep my recovery going forward and it helped a great deal. I was impressed with her expertise and attention to details. My eyesight improved and I made progress to the point that the haziness in my right eye cleared up. I returned in October for a follow-up and as my Shingles was still bothering me, she restarted the antiviral medicine along with steroid eye drops as the haziness had returned. I have nothing but praise for her exceptional attention to detail and expertise. I couldn't have asked for better care.
During my treatment course, I was impressed with the staff at the Reception Desk. They were always personable and courteous and put me at ease.
I was also impressed by the professionalism and expertise of the Techs who assisted Dr. Yang. They made me feel at ease as they performed all the preliminary procedures with deft competence prior to Dr. Yang seeing me. I don't remember all their names, but I on my last visit I was able to get a new prescription. The Tech who did the procedure was Delia. She was very proficient and made the experience one of the best I have ever had. She was patient, encouraging and thorough.
I would without hesitation highly recommend Dr. Yang and the staff at the Eye Institute to anyone wanting the best vision care possible.

Dr. Lee and her associates were absolutely wonderful; warm and welcoming. I get nervous at appointments, and they explained everything so perfectly. Best choice!
