Grateful, grateful, grateful!! I sustained serious injury to both of my eyes about 6 months ago and I was treated by Dr. Mark D. Sherman, Ophthalmologist of Pacific Eye Surgeons. Dr. Sherman treated me with a calm and professional manner. I was in a serious state and with Dr. Sherman's treatment and care, I have healed to a great degree. I am forever grateful! I highly recommend Dr. Sherman for vision care. Truth be told, I have referred family & friends to Pacific Eye and Dr. Sherman. Thank you Dr. Sherman.

I am so glad that my PCP referred me to this place. From the front desk representatives to Dr. Sherman, I feel a great vibe. They are all very professional.

The first problem with this company is that they don't answer their phones and when you leave a message they don't call you back. It took me a week to get someone on the phone to make an appointment. I had a 4:00 appointment. I was taken into a room at 4:10 for the question/prelim session with an assistant. Then I waited. At 4:40, while I was standing in the hallway (my choice), a doctor came by and said he would get to me soon. I asked "what does that mean?" He said there are 3-4 people ahead of you so at least 1 hour. He suggested I make another appointment if I didn't want to wait. I asked the front desk woman if I would have to wait an hour at the next appointment too and she said "yes, that's the way we do it". Really?? At 5:10, the doctor took me in and did the exam. He seemed efficient and skilled. This whole experience was frustrating and annoying. I hesitate to continue care with this company.

I worked with Doctor Avery in surgery when he came to Santa Barbara from John's Hopkins. He is an excellent vitreoretinal surgeon who also continues research on macular degeneration.

Dr. Nathan Steinle is an excellent ophthalmologist. As a retina specialist, he has extraordinary skills in diagnosing and administering care with my ongoing eye care and health. He is also a very personable and friendly person, making my office visits fun without the stress. I am very satisfied with his expertise and very happy when I visit his office, too. His staff is professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Never left waiting more than ten minutes. I highly recommend Dr. Steinle and his staff if you need to find a retina specialist.

Dr. Amir has been an amazing eye doctor since I first went to him many years ago. My recent cataract surgery on both eyes has been very successful and I can see quite well now. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking eye care. He and his staff are also polite, professional, and caring.

If you choose to get an exam here be prepared to get a script for only one year. He does not give out two year scripts but accepts Medi Cal which only approves exams every two years. So you will have one year you will have to wait to get new glasses once your original script expires. It makes no sense. They offer no explanation either. I recommend going elsewhere.
