The two ladies at the front desk are great. Always friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to see you. Dr. Aoto is the best! She’s patient, knowledgeable, and truthful with sharing what she recommends. George, the optician has been working his craft for over 25 years. He’s professional, knowledgeable, and warm and friendly. I look forward to going to the eye doctor now, knowing that I’m going to be well taken care of.

This optometrist is excellent at her craft, and has the heart of a teacher. She and her staff are friendly, welcoming and maintains an efficient flow of service. I highly recommend her and her team! I live in N. County SD and because of their overall excellent service which is always kind and friendly with their great expertise, I have been making the drive for at least a few years now whenever it’s time to renew my glasses, ever since I found them. For me, it’s worth the drive! -Jeanne

From the receptionist to my eye doctor, and the person who gets your glasses set up for purchase, are all friendly, courteous ,and really care about their patients. I’m glad I found this place off of Convoy and Balboa.

I wanted to donate glasses, but they don’t make that easy. I called and confirmed that they took donations by mail. I got a box, carefully packed it, and sent it to them at their 1805 Upas address. It came back returned to sender. So I called, heard they were open on Saturdays on their recording, biked about an hour, and discovered they were closed (maybe because of Veteran’s day?). Maybe the glasses donations are very valuable to them, but they should either say they don’t want glasses or else have a functional system to mail Glasses to them, or at least a Dropbox at their location. I’m sure they do great work, but this aspect of their operation needs attention.

I would like to give a shout out to all the Volunteer's who make gifting to others possible. When I had no way of financial need to put glasses on my priority list this wonderful club fit the need. Very accommodating and pleasant. That's a Beautiful example of how God is at work through people.

My boyfriend received his eye contacts from here. He was told that a mandatory “training” has to happen before he could purchase the contacts prescribed… but that he had to wait for a doctor to conduct the training and would have to come in for a 2nd visit. I’m not sure why. When I got my contacts elsewhere, they handled everything in one day. He also was charged $30 for the fitting / training. He had not been told he would be charged for this. When I let them know this was going to be an issue unless they had this price publicly on display or proof they told him, the receptionist got defensive and told me she tells everyone and she she maybe forgot to tell him the price but did tell him it would be a charge. Looking over the bill, he incurred charges for 2 visits, not 1, the training was added on (sold as mandatory but not needed) and all in all they did nothing to admit their scam or correct it when asked about it. Finally, the minute we got there, I started coughing and sneezing. The carpet was stained with mildew and smelled like dust with dust particles in the air. The doctor is polite but that’s the only positive. Do not go here.

I went to Dr. Keefe after my facial nerve was severed during brain surgery. Because of the nerve damage, my eye would not close correctly. On Dr. Keefe's suggestion, she installed a gold weight in my eyelid. My eyelid never healed. She went on vacation days after my surgery. I came back to her office where the other doctors tried to redo the procedure. My body rejected the gold weight. When Dr. Keefe came back, she used a new thread to intentionally inflame my eyelid. It made things even worse and the gold weight was literally falling out of my eye. Her solution was to sew my eye shut! I immediately left her office and went with the Shiley Eye Institute in La Jolla. They installed a platinum weight and my body accepted it immediately. The were surprised that any doctor would install a gold weight with the low success rate. Don't be afraid to shop around. Who knows how much more damage would have been done if I stayed with this doctor.

First of all, parking on site available at the building for free. Secondly, Dr. Edward is very patience, professional, trustworthy and understand his patience. He will provide you the facts for your treatment, cost and post care after the surgery. He also accept Tricare and Medicare. The office is very clean and also they share space with Courique Optical which is convenient if you need a glasses.

Dr Jenn and team are the absolute greatest! For years, Dr Jenn has been proactive with my ocular health and treatment, suggesting cutting edge treatments and products that have only been effective. Dr Jenn herself is kind, consultative, and so warm; and through her social media I know she keeps up with current trends and advancements. Could not recommend DCVC enough!

I love going to Dr Chinn’s Vision Care! I had been having dry eye pain and the previous eye doctor I went to gave me the wrong eye glasses prescription two separate times. I felt apprehensive to try a new place but it has been a really great experience here. The care is top notch and I even tried contacts for the first time here with ease. I’d highly recommend anyone who is looking for a trustworthy, reliable eye doctor to go to Dr Chinn’s.
