Yesterday (Nov 10, 2023) I had my semi-annual visit with Dr. Pillar. As usual, I came away reassured. Dr. Pillar's eye exam is always thorough. She listens to my concerns, patiently answers my questions and clearly explains potential care options. In addition to my eye health, Dr Pillar cares about my general health conditions. Her office is well managed, with minimal wait time between tests. All her team members are competent, courteous and friendly. I have been under Dr. Pillar's care for more than 3 years and I am truly grateful for her professional and loving care.

From start to finish everyone was so professional, kind and understanding. Dr Pillar and staff got me in right away and corrected my vision in two weeks. The surgery center was top fight and also a professional and kind staff. I’m going back to Dr Pillar to have my other eye done. That says it all. Thousand thank you’s.

I think Dr. Pillar is great! My only complaint is the scheduling process. Because I am diabetic, I was supposed to be one of the first surgeries of the day when I had my first eye done. After complaining, I was finally taken back 3 hours later. The second surgery I made sure to be the first one of the day so as not to go through that again. Then the scheduling of the light adjustable appointments were not fully explained nor was it on the paperwork that I was given. In reality, your appointment time is with Dr. Pillars at her office for dilation. What was not explained was then you drive to another location in La Jolla for the actual treatments. My day ended up taking 4 hours for a 2 minute treatment! One hour to drive to her office. Wait time to be seen an hour, another 30 mins. for eyes to dilate. Left her office at noon to drive 25 minutes to La Jolla center for actual light treatment. Waited 30 minutes to be called back for a 2 minute treatment and then another hour drive home. I realize the 2 hour drive time is by my choice. However, that still leaves 2 hours of waiting and driving to 2 separate places 25 minutes apart for a 2 minute proceedure. It seems a very big inconvience on the patients part that is truly not explained. Other than that, Dr. Pillar is a very good doctor and so far I am happy with result. I am hoping that with another one or two treatments I will have great vision and no need for glasses.

I’ve have been very pleased with the care at LensCrafters. The glasses I got are perfect. The optometrist that did my exam for contacts seemed very vested in getting me the best correction possible. The intake people were friendly and competent. The woman who checked me out was sweet and helpful. I would be delighted to recommend this business to anyone without reservation.

Waited longer then I think I should have given that there were 4 team members having conversations. I was told my out of pocket would be a certain amount, leaving out the option to take a test that my insurance does not cover. Instead of giving me the option. I understand the pros of the test but I’ve been to other stores where they let you know your insurance does not cover and that will be the cost of the test instead of “your total for your visit will be X amount including the test” in other words the test cost the X amount. I appreciate the honesty and the customer service of other locations. I will chose a different store for my next visit.

Very attentive staff, which is not always the case in the other LC i go to. At the other I have walked in and felt like i was invisible. Each time I walked into MV LC i was greeted with a smile and an offer to help. Awesome!

Every staff member is friendly and explains each step of the visit thoroughly. Danielle was patient and kind during the initial exams. Dr Melanie is so smart and personable, and Sarah the optician went above and beyond in helping me order my contacts. I’ve been coming here for a few years and I can’t imagine going anywhere else!

I've been coming to Family Vision Care for over 20 years, and seeing Dr. Melanie Langford for at least 10. Every single person I've encountered there has been friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I appreciate that they keep up with the latest testing methods, and they're good at explaining things. They have a great selection of frames for your glasses, and their staff are much better at finding the right frames for my face than I am. They've even accepted both of the vision insurance plans I've been lucky enough to have through work. A+

We feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Matt Langford for our daughter's myopia control. He is very skilled and he has a passion for his work that really shows. He makes my kids feel very comfortable and he has an honest and caring character. I'm also appreciative that his service fees are so fair while other optometrists wanted to charge us many times more. This might be because many optometrists say they do myopia control but they don't have much experience. Dr. Matt is experienced and very efficient! We moved the entire family over to seeing Dr. Matt now and we couldn't be happier.

Reassured of the continuity of the quality of care from Dr.Nanduri's practice to Dr.Roeske's. Indepth and caring discussions of eye conditions and treatment ranges including attention to cost of care.

The two ladies at the front desk are great. Always friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to see you. Dr. Aoto is the best! She’s patient, knowledgeable, and truthful with sharing what she recommends. George, the optician has been working his craft for over 25 years. He’s professional, knowledgeable, and warm and friendly. I look forward to going to the eye doctor now, knowing that I’m going to be well taken care of.
