TLDR: This place is horrible. They do things without patient consent and it's literally malpractice. There are more negative reviews than positive ones. You've been warned! I filed a grievance with my insurance company because they dilated my eyes after I asked them not to. I told them that I didn't want this test done. They did it anyways, against my wishes, and it was the worst experience of my life (for context: I've had sepsis, kidney stones, a tumor cut out of my abdomen, all at the same time, inpatient for weeks, and I still think the dilation was worse.) They said it would wear off in a few hours, but my eyes remained dilated for over 8 hours. I couldn't see properly and it gave me a migraine. I suspect that they used too much of the solution. To make matters worse, they gave me an eye exam AFTER dilating my eyes. My prescription was all wrong. It gave me a headache to wear my glasses. Here's the cherry on top, they insisted that I could *only* come in to "troubleshoot" my glasses but only on Wednesday. Refused to let me make me an appointment. The receptionist said that this had to be handled as a walk in. I explained that this did not work for me. That is my son's minimum day and I am an hour long trolley ride away. Beyond that, my child has special needs and he wouldn't handle waiting around for an unknown amount of time at the office with me. Or it would cost me a financial burden. Just to be helped and treated by their doctor after they wronged me on multiple I ended up giving up on that. I contacted my provider because I wanted to know when I could make a new appointment somewhere else. They told me that I should report this incident, so I did. Especially after reading other reviews that their eyes were also dilated without the patients consent.

Dr. Galvin saved me one evening when I had severe eye pain and called her on-call service. I have never experienced this level of care and compassion. She met me in her office at 9:30pm (bringing her 2 year old) - I had my 6 year old - and spent a couple hours not only diagnosing and treating my severe corneal abrasion - but also calming me down and helping me cope with the severe pain. She was incredible in every respect and I highly recommend her to anyone.

I recently saw Dr. Friedman to get a 2nd opinion concerning my glaucoma diagnosis. He and his staff were extremely professional, yet friendly, I was impressed with everyone I saw. Dr Friedman took the time to explain the intricacies of my diagnosis and offered to refer me to a Glaucoma specialist closer to my home. I have decided that the quality of care is more important than convenience of proximity - he is worth the drive!

Dr. Belaustuegui is incredibly thorough! The front office staff, the assistant the optometrists and the ladies who help with glasses are all outstanding! I really do love my experiences that I’ve had there. Added bonus is they have donuts and coffee in the waiting room, plus bottled water.

Had a great experience here. Selection of frames was remarkable and I got a great price. Also the staff was very knowledgeable and they explained exactly what made my old glasses so hard to get used to. The ones I got last week I was comfortable in right away !!!

Immediately received an emergency appointment. My own specialist was unavailable but the woman who handled my case was incredible; well versed in my situation, good listener, so kind and thorough. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

Dr. Carson is amazing and funny. I had a wonderful experience at his office.

Total rip off!!! Went here a few months back because I purchased a Groupon for $200 toward a complete pair of eyeglasses. There are no prices on anything and the creepy, unfriendly salesman said he would "total up everything for me once I was ready." I ended up picking out a GENERIC pair of wire framed glasses. After tallying everything up and deducting my $200 coupon, my grand total was $389...without an eye exam!! That means that a generic pair of glasses would have cost $589 if I didn't have a coupon???!!! I find that hard to believe. I really liked the glasses and had already purchased the Groupon, so stupid me went along with it. He refused to itemize my bill and just said that my glasses would be ready in 7-10 days. Finally, THREE WEEKS later my glasses arrived. The real kicker is that I went shopping with my husband yesterday for his glasses (somewhere else of course), and saw my EXACT FRAMES FOR $99...and they weren't even on sale! Uugh, do I feel stupid. :(
