This was my first visit, and I will definitely be seeing Dr Jacobs again! Flor was so helpful with booking and answering my questions. The doctor did not rush through my appointment, addressed all my concerns and was very thorough. Would highly recommend!

The doctor is so amazing, he checks everything in detail and at the same time help you understand the thing or the problem for that matter in a great way. The staff too is very friendly. Nice experience. Highly recommend it

Excellent customer service offered here by Stanley Ho. I highly recommend USC Roski Eye Institute-USC Village. Very professional and courteous. Thank you, again, Stanley for such stellar service!

This place is fully equipped with THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. The ophthalmologist is the most friendly and courteous I have ever seen. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST. If you go in, YOU WILL KNOW what I mean.

I wouldn't return after getting my yearly glasses. There's a huge surcharge on frames and add-ons for lens. Most vision insurance won't cover it all. Staff seems pretty indifferent if not downright rude whenever you ask them questions or have them contact your insurance. They rarely offer courtesies like adjusting your frames when you get them. The first time I got my frames, they were unclean and uncomfortable. Apparently, they're understaffed. To top it all off, my final pair of glasses aren't even all that useful/comfortable. I've had much better results and bargains in other nearby optometrists. This is an overpriced trap. A few pros: Convenient w/ lots of appt slots. Free parking validation for several hours. Nice place to visit if you have to wait. Prompt email responses.

Had an awesome experience! From the front desk staff, to the exam, and my time with Dr. R everything was thorough and efficient. Honestly such a gem to have right in downtown. They also have a really good assortment of eyewear and can replace lenses for a reasonable price. Dr. R has great bedside manner and took the time to answer my questions. If you live in downtown, they are centrally located and are a great resource for evaluating your eye health.

Hill Eye Center deserves no stars. A relative of mine came here for diminished vision in one eye and was told her sight cannot be saved in it because the “blood vessels are clogged.” It was emotionally distressing for all. I referred her to USC Ophthalmology to see a retinologist and she was diagnosed with a detached cornea which they will immediately get her in for to attempt to repair with laser treatment. The Hill Eye Center’s physician didn’t even diagnose the problem in the right part of the eye! Ridiculous. Avoid care here at all cost. It makes me angry and sad that many elderly patients in this community have limited choices when it comes to ophthalmologic care from Asian language- speaking people. Through the years, we have heard from many friends and relatives that the care team here (including the receptionists) are rude and condescending. Asking a simple question or expressing concern will get you scolded loudly like you are subhuman. Now I can verify they are also highly incompetent and negligent.

Good experience at the store, but received a random $226 bill after insurance. Have talked to my insurance, who talked to USC Care Medical Group and identified the mistake (a math problem), supposedly got it fixed--then, they sent me the wrong bill again. Every time I talk to Roski Eye Institute on the phone they are completely inept and no one can explain the bill. They just state over and over that is what I owe. They are morons. I will not be going back.
