Even after moving to Los Angeles, I make the annual trek to see Dr. Shively and Dr. Graziano for my eye care. After having a poor experience with a couple other optometrists in Bakersfield, I discovered BeSpectacled and will not go anywhere else. Both doctors are extremely thorough, personable, and communicative. Every visit, they readily answer all my questions (and I often have many!) and work to make sure that my contact and glasses prescriptions are accurate and comfortable. I have never ordered glasses through them, as I find that cheaper options work just fine, but I have been very happy with their routine care (I also never feel like I'm being rushed out of the office or that they need to stick to 5 minutes per patient) and contact fittings. Thank you, Dr. Shively & Dr. Graziano for the wonderful, thorough, and helpful care. You are both kind and excellent, and the world needs more doctors like you.

Crystal the assistant manager was amazing. Her customer service is top-notch. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and always goes the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. Her professionalism and attention to detail were commendable.She is friendly and the welcoming atmosphere made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. I am beyond satisfied with my experience and highly recommend them.

I had a great experience with Miss. Crystal. I came in for new glasses but also with an attitude, Crystals warm approach towards me in seeing that I received the best service from her and the company she works for. She was excellent and took the best of care of my need. Her professional attitude made me relax and enjoy the experience.
Thanks to Crystals passion for what she does made the difference and I was able to purchase new glasses. She deserves a 9 out of 10.

It was my first time in this place and all I have to say is that it was a very nice experience. The employees are very nice and professional. The doctor examined my eyes, he was so patience and took the time to explain to me the type of lenses I need according to my lifestyle. I highly recommend it, it deserves more than five stars! 🤩
Kudos for the nurse who took the time to sit down with me and patiently helped me understand the differences between what my insurance covered and did not cover.

Went to my first eye appointment a month ago here and I brought my son. The lady at the counter said I might have to reschedule but she asked the eye dr if I could bring him in with me so I was able to do that and get my eye exam done & Got my glasses. They were all helpful and friendly as soon as I walked in their door.

Dr was great. He took his time during my exam. He did a great job at explaining everything to me thoroughly. The front desk staff was also great. They were patient with me while I tried on a million frames until I found the ones I loved. Overall, they are great.
I would say that the wait was a bit long even with an appointment but It was worth it since I noticed the Dr took his time, instead of rushing each patients exam .

My baby is 3 and is special needs… Dr Vance and the entire staff were amazing. They’re very patient and kind. The doctor took her time and handled my baby with care! I highly recommend this office. Thank you to the staff for your care and patience during our visit!

I’ve been coming here for years. And just a little upsetting I was told false things. I was told I was still in warranty with my frames so of course I brought them in if I wasn’t, I would’ve brought them in. I also was told my frames were on back order then two days later I was told they were discontinued. All they could offer me was a 30% off on a new frame that I had to buy. It’s just a little upsetting being told one thing, and then being told they did a courtesy because I was somebody’s niece.

I love this office! I was able to complete my paperwork prior to my appointment. The Front desk staff is very nice and welcoming. The assistants are very nice and helpful throughout the examination. Dr. Vance was amazing. She was very thorough, explaining my diagnosis. Great experience overall!

I keep trying to make an appointment for my boys and myself at once. Once Covid started the policy changed to only 2 people at a time..which makes no sense since I’m literally standing in the room with them. They force you to pay for a scan that is not covered by insurance. I asked for an appointment during a certain week and they scheduled it the following week. The doctor is super nice, but the policies and the way the office is run makes it impossible to stay. I asked if I could just purchase a new pair of glasses for my son before his prescription ran out, it still had 2 days left. They refused. Costco was more than happy to fill it. They stated I had to have an exam.
