Dr not friendly/personable. Had to wait over 8wks to get my glasses only to find out my prescription was incorrect. Told the mgr I no longer wanted the glasses & they still only gave me $30 of my $40 out of pocket back AFTER they'd already gotten paid by my eye insurance...beware

My girlfriend says that Michael Kwarcinski is great. Wonderful eye doctor, but it ends there. The office is terribly ran. If you went to another doctor's office and ordered blood pressure medicine through them, you could expect they would … More

I’ve been a patient of University Optometric Group Uab since 1982. 40 years later, I am a patient of my Original doctor. She steered me through more attempts to try contacts than I can remember and was always patient with me. She has talked me through radial keratotomy And why I will still need to wear glasses after the procedure. She also cared for my mother, father, brother, niece, wife, husband (Yes, you have read that correctly), and both of my sons. At one point in my life two years back, Rather than see my regular doc associated with Uab and still teaching, I was examined by an optometrist associated with a high-end eyewear shop which I thought would be just fine. It wasn’t fine. Ending up with a $1200 pair of glasses I could only read my computer. I realized that eye exam had actually led me down a road Towards purchasing eyewear which was really worthless to me for seeing almost anything else. I could not read road signs. Lesson learned. Big mistake. Now I know why my regular eye doctor would always ask if what A was clearer or just smaller and darker then B? I don’t think I’m gonna trust my eyes, as I age to anyone outside of Uab optometric. I appreciate all of the excellent care provided these 40 years. Thank you! and Rosa, you run the whole place and always have! We all love you!

My husband and I have been patients for many years. We have always received excellent care of our vision health needs. One year we chose to go for our annual vision exams at a practice closer to our home. But quickly decided we are willing to travel a much greater distance in order to be provided care that we know is comprehensive from providers we have complete trust and confidence in.

Dr. McClintock and the team at VisionFirst are so nice. They were short-handed the day of my appointment but no one was snippy or hateful, just kept things moving along. I definitely feel like they appreciate me as a patient.

I always have a great experience at VisionFirst! Everyone is so nice. Dr. McClintok made sure I got exactly what I needed and the sweet young lady I ordered my glasses with made sure I got what I wanted! She was so patient and helpful! 10 out of 10!

I had a corneal transplant surgery with Dr. Hall and he also repaired my iris and pupil.
He is a Superlative doctor!
I am thankful I was referred to Dr. Hall because after all the ophthalmologists I have seen in the past I have never had an experience with them like I had with Dr. Hall, by far.
My eye problems are complicated and he addressed them all with extensive expertise.
He is thorough, detailed and cares about his work.
Kind and easy to talk to.
If it were not for Dr. Hall I would not have my
eyesight.
Truly Superlative.
Thank you Dr. Hall from the bottom of my heart.

Dr. Hall saved me from completely losing my eyesight in my right eye. He is compassionate, caring, and a brilliant doctor. I admire his dedication to his patients, and his staff is courteous, and professional. He is truly a gem in the ophthalmology profession.

Here now on November 23rd in Dr. Tyler Halls office with my elderly mother who WAS his patient. He was agitated because we were asking questions about her eye health and he said that he didn’t feel he had a connection with us from the first visit which was 3 weeks ago and he didn’t feel a connection now because we were asking too many questions and he felt they were going in circles. He was basically agitated when I asked him why wasn’t he going to start her treatment to regenerated her eye nerves today. He got so irritated he abruptly ended the conversation and called over the assistant to get that treatment started. He didn’t bother to patiently answer our questions. I asked him to step back in the room and he told me that he was irritated because he has more patients and then he told us he can refer us to someone else, basically getting rid of us. Very rude and terrible bedside manners.
Every Review metters. See what people say about clinics.
