Very bad experience today with the customer service. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment and was waiting 30 minutes to be seen. Nobody did. Nobody but me was in waiting room as well. The manager Cathleen was very jumpy and rude to me when I asked how long am supposed to wait for my appointment. Wasn’t a good experience at all. I would not recommend this facility if you respect yourself. I used to be a client since 2012-2013 and everything was fine, but now I am looking for ophthalmologists who respect my time.

Dr. Thakore was able to take into account my real-world needs, and listens, the most important quality in a physician. I have a complicated prescription, and work in the building trades.

Is there a 10-star option? Because that is what I would give to Dr. Foster and the entire team at MERSI. From the ease of making appointments to the thorough consultations, you know your eyes are in amazing hands. It's unfortunate that I have to visit them in the first place (pesky uveitis!), but I am so grateful that this world-class center is in my city. True story: I had never had a steroid infusion or an IV before my last visit to MERSI. After calming me down (I had a diva moment), the staff plied me with suckers, snacks, water and magazines, and made a really unpleasant experience somewhat enjoyable. Merci, MERSI!

I asked them to fix my glasses and they broke it and never apologized. I told the doctor and two sales people and no one appologised. The doctor did not explain what she was doing and didn t explain my prescription results. She charged me 75$

I've been going here about 5 years now and really love the practice-- everyone is very warm, friendly, helpful. Bought my glasses here, and I've noticed the staff are more helpful than at a chain-- they seem to be more thorough AND the cost is actually less than (they're great at billing my insurance so I pay the lowest cost). As a bonus: I had some eye pain on a weekend-- called them up and they fit me in right away, getting an eyelash out. Saved me a very costly trip to the emergency room.

Deborah helped me find the perfect frames for my new glasses, made sure to find the best deal through my insurance, and made recommendations (based on my high prescription) throughout. She was extremely kind and knowledgeable, and made the entire experience and office feel warm and welcoming!

My son and I came in on a Saturday for exams and glasses and everyone was friendly, patient, and helpful along the way. This was my son’s first experience with glasses, and the associates were attentive to his questions. We both found frames we loved and our visit was successful.

There’s only one person in this office that I really do not like interacting with and I wish I got his name. It’s a heavyset gentleman who does not wear glasses, and today was my second very negative interaction with him. Of note, everyone else is super nice and helpful. The first time I had an interaction with this person I was in the middle of a conversation with another staff member about obtaining proper documentation to get reimbursed by my insurance and having an itemized receipt and he abruptly interrupted the conversation to just blatantly state that they can’t give me the medical information that I needed for my insurance to reimburse me. Not only was it extremely rude but when I asked even for a formal letter he said “we don’t do that here”. It honestly was really sketchy to me that he was denying me my own medical information for insurance reimbursement (because I had to pay full price for my appointment) and just totally rubbed me the wrong way. The second time I interacted with this person was today. I came in to the office to get my glasses adjusted and also to get additional information for my contact prescription. He basically tried to tell me that the information I needed for my prescription is contact specific (diameter or my eye and the base curve). He also tried to tell me I had to come in for another eye exam/fitting to get the contacts I wanted because it’s been 9 months and my script is outdated…. My insurance only covers an exam every two years….. like what? I asked him if he even knew if they carried the brand/type I was looking to get and without hesitation or checking he just says “yes”. It was very obvious he was just trying to get me to come back for the office to make more money because I would have to pay out of pocket AGAIN. The eye doctor last time I saw them was very supportive and casual and said just let me know if you need to come in for another fitting like I wouldn’t get charged again for a second visit but now I’m being told I need whole new eye exam by a non medical staff member. I asked him for information about whether the base curve or diameter of your eye changes over time to which he said “you need to speak to an eye doctor for that”. Well I looked it up and the diameter of your eye doesn’t change unless you have trauma, glaucoma, cancer or some other serious eye issue. The base curve is how the contact fits on the eye and can vary from contact brand but the brand I wanted was the same brand I had previously. PLUS I found out the new contacts I wanted have a standard base curve anyways after going home and calling the company that makes the contacts. Which means I was basically lied to by this person to try and get me to come in again. My suspicion is that they don’t even carry the contacts or else they would’ve known this. So all in all this employee is just very suspect and rude. He did a great job adjusting my glasses but maybe he needs to adjust his attitude, be a little more caring, and be transparent…. I love the front desk staff and the doctors here but I hope I never have to interact with this person again. Sadly I will likely be looking to go elsewhere next time I need an eye exam if I have to keep dealing with this person. UPDATE: Charles, the clinic manager, emailed me (likely before seeing this review) and offered for me to come in and do a contact fitting free of charge for the type of contacts I wanted.

Always a good experience with the doctors! I was disappointed that no one told me until after my appointment that I was a week too early to qualify for insurance coverage - especially since they had the info ahead of my visit. EDIT: Charles called me and helped worked out my payment issues to ensure I got to use all of my coverage. I really appreciated their flexibility!
