Eye Care Center
I had no issues for about a year until it was time to get a different type of contacts. the eye doctor was the one to recommend this. I received the contacts that I was repeatedly told were the absolute best fit for me and my strong prescription. Then I couldn’t see out of them. This is not what made me upset. But the way that it was handled after I couldn’t see out of them.
Because of the misinformation or lack of understanding by the doctors about the lenses I completely ran out of any contacts that I had. Even though I had repeatedly told them that I was on my last pair. It was complete incompetence on their part. It in every way just a ridiculous and unnecessary situation that caused me to lose all confidence in the professionalism and capability of the eye doctors that work there.

Dr Franklin was awesome. He connected with my 4 year old and kept her at ease. The first “doctor” I met was awful though. Fernando? Ricardo? Not sure of his name but my daughter is TERRIFIED of returning to eye doctor now, let alone using her prescription drops. Terrible bedside manner and should NOT work with children. Will be finding more child-appropriate eye doctor next time. Not returning to UK Eye

I have been with UK Eye for 4 yrs. They explain, nothing. They recently changed medication, but, no explanation of side effects. I canceled my appointment. I would not recommend UK Eye.

My regular eye Dr sent me here for a certain test to be done. They did not run the test but did their own eye exam. Proceeded to then tell me nothing was wrong with my eyes and that I needed to switch contacts. Then said if that didn't work, I could come back. I will not be back. I will drive to Cincinnati or Nashville. Go there at your own risk. I regret not stopping the eye exam and demanding the test.

Dr. Kyle Ferguson has taken over this practice from Dr. Matthews. He is very thorough, very personable. I would highly recommend him.

I recently had cataract surgery and couldn't be happier with Dr. Kyle Ferguson and his staff, especially Karla and Pauletta, who were so sweet. I felt like I'd known them for years instead of just weeks. Dr. Kyle Ferguson made me feel like … More

I had such a good experience with this office. I had a scary experience in the ER and was referred to a different place, but I chose to take my chances with Kentucky Eye Center. I could not have been happier! They were so helpful, and the … More

I'd like to start by saying my family has been seeing Dr Stratton for a few years. She is extremely nice and professional and I would recommend going to her. However, I had an eye emergency during her vacation and had to see a different doctor in her office. Well, talk about an entirely different experience. Dr. Rich would not listen to anything I had to say about my injury/infection and apparently decided that it was allergies. I tried multiple times over 2 visits to explain how it started and progressed but she just wouldn't listen. I was not getting better and actually parts were getting worse. So, I went to a different practice yesterday (4 weeks after 2nd visit to Dr Rich). I hadn't been there before but am now moving my whole family there. The new doctor sat down with me and listened while I explained in detail how this started, how it progressed and what treatments I had sought and taken. Then he was able to pinpoint exactly what happened, how it affected my eyes, how to properly treat it and hopefully prevent it in the future. Dr. Rich wasted my time, my money and possibly longer term difficulty with my eyes. So, while I can recommend Dr Stratton, I do not recommend seeing Dr Rich. Listening to your patients is absolutely key to good medical care and she did not demonstrate the ability or willingness to do this during two separate visits.

I have been going to Stratton eyes for over 15years+ and Dr. Ko is the best eye doctor I've ever had. I drive from Louisville to Lexington just to see her. I've tried other Eye doctors in Lexington and Louisville and I've never had a good experience. However, I've always had the best quality of care from Dr. Ko. I will be extremely sad if she retires. She is an amazing doctor.

Horrible experience! Not only is it overpriced but I had to reorder lenses which I was charged $150 for and there were mistakes TWICE. I was informed of the first mistake but when I went to pick up the “correct” lenses only one was anti-glare. The person fitting my glasses did not catch the mistake while I tried them on, but thankfully I caught the mistake myself. I have had to wait over a month for my lenses and now have to wait even longer. In addition, the doctor I saw during my exam was dismissive to my concerns about the clarity of my distance vision and need for bifocals saying as we age our vision isn’t as clear— I am only 23. While I have a very strong prescription I have always been able to get clear vision with glasses until now. I will never return to Stratton Eyes after finally receiving my correct lenses and advise others to avoid especially if you have difficult prescriptions.

Dr Lambirth is the best. He’s seen my family for the past 9 years. There’s no one else we will go to! He’s personable and always takes as much time as we need. The whole staff is friendly and caring and really gets to know their patients.
