I came to this location after having bad experience at Visionworks, Pilgrim Plaza. I was welcomed by the staff and was taken care by Sharon. She is really nice, humble, and helpful. She spent her time explaining which benefits I can get from my insurance, as well as recommending which type of frame that can best suit my face and the prescription. I ended up purchasing a very cute one. The glass will be ready in a week from now, and I cannot wait to have it. 5 star for Sharon in particular and the store overall.

I have been going to Visionworks for years, this time, it was a unique situation, in between Cataracs surgeries, and just needing a new prescription. I didn’t want to spend a lot, and they had a good coupon for two pairs of progressive lenses. I usually go to the Quincy store, which I had gone to the day before, and it wasn’t a great experience, I thought the customer service wasn’t helpful or compassionate to my situation. So the next day I went up the plaza to the Visionworks, and I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who had me sit for about three minutes and then I was helped by a lovely woman Sharon. She was so helpful with my new glasses and help me utilize all the benefits of the coupon to save me a lot on glasses I’ll only be needing four or five months. South Shore Plaza vision works is my new place to go. Thank you Kim.

I’m surprised to see the negative feedback about the office staff. Though I called within 2 days of my insurance ending, they were able to squeeze me in before my benefits ended. The receptionist remembered speaking to me over the phone once I arrived in practice and was great. The doctor was extremely thorough and humored me by answering my infinite questions. Lastly, the optical specialist was very sweet and was able to help with ordering my contact lenses. Overall, a pleasant visit and experience.

Not sure exactly WHEN the staff was helpful as seen in other reviews. We found them to be extremely unhelpful. Poor communication, phones not answered, emails not replied to, VM messages not replied to. Worst "customer service" I have ever experienced.

It is rare that a provider takes the time to be able to get to know you! I have been going to Dr. Botello for many years and she is not only an incredible doctor but an incredible person. She talks about what’s been going on since your last visit. she takes the time to talk through the changes in your eyes and different options and then also provides you with information on how to care for your eyes better and health overall. I would recommend her to anybody. She’s fantastic.

I’ve worn glasses or contacts for around 17 years now and four years ago I moved away from my doctor and have struggled to find a new one. I decided to visit Dr.Franklin after a terrible experience in Crowley. The staff was very welcoming and once I said I was pregnant instead of dilating my eyes I got a service my insurance didn’t cover where they took pictures. I never was offered this service before but it was amazing, I didn’t have to wait a whole hour or get someone to drive me home and I will definitely be paying for that service for my future visits. The price for this service, contact lens and frames was very fair compared to other local places. I felt she was very thorough and not rushing through my appointment. I left completely satisfied and relieved to have finally found a doctor I feel comfortable with. It didn’t take long to schedule my appointment either where as it usually take weeks to months for other doctors. I recommend Dr.Franklin and her staff. 10/10

Dr. Franklin and her entire staff were professional, thorough and friendly. She explained everything about my exam in great detail. What a wonderful, comfortable experience! Highly recommended!

Been going there for years me and my family and loved it but his new receptionist is very rude and un willing to help will not go back as long as she is there he is not the only eye dr in Jennings Louisiana never got a call telling me i needed to make a appointment for my yearly visit so i called to make an appointment because i have no more contact and they dont have an appointment intill October so i ask to buy a set just to get me to my appointment and she said no so how is someone to see to go to work are read . Your staf never tried to explane any thing to me, nothing but no no no everything i asked was no.

My kids have been going here for two years and Dr Fawcett is always so happy and patient with them. It makes the experience go smooth and fast.

I went in for a new patient visit due to insurance, and I was in and out of there within 30 mins. I did not feel judged as I have in the past for not exactly being the "best" contact lens wearer. The optometrist actually recommended contacts that fit my habits instead of spending the time lecturing me about what I was doing wrong. Everyone was friendly and helped move the appointment along without it feeling rushed.
