If I could give this doctor a worst rating I would. Be on time your a doctor you should know how important that is. I’ve been waiting for over an hour just to pick up some glasses. Your are completely unprofessional. Thank god you work with decent workers that are able to at least filter out how bad your service is. Will never be returning and completely do not recommend this doctor at all what so ever.

This was my first time seeing an eye specialist. I was a bit nervous. It was very crowded when I arrived. Got checked in and the nurse at the front desk was so receiving and helpful. Once I filled out the paper work I only waited about 15 minutes before seeing Dr. Akstein. He was so professional and caring. He ensured I would be ok. He prescribed me eye ointment. After 3 long months of using prescription eye drops that didn't work, this ointment worked on 2 days. I finally feel and look like myself again. I recommend him to anyone who wants a doctor that knows and love what he'does.

I went to Dr. Akstein's practice in Riverdale GA after a co worker sprayed me in the eye with a chemical. Dr. Akstein stated I had glaucoma and cataracts so severe that I required surgery like yesterday. He gave me drops for my eye for one week. I set an appt with another Dr. for a second opinion. And I am so grateful I did. " NOT ONLY DO I NOT HAVE GLAUCOMA OR CATERACTS I had a serious eye disease that if gone un treated would have caused me my eye sight. So it's clear to me he was focused on the long treatment of something I did not even have instead of treating me for what was in front of him.

Dr Akstein is a very caring eye doctor. My husband and I have gone to him for many years. If it were not for Dr Akstein, my husband would be blind due to diabetes.

Exceptional care, no judgment just quality customer service. Will stick with this provider when I can afford a private insurance or insurance through my employer. Very much satisfied, with my 11 yr. Old son. appt. And reasonable prices, his medicaid paid for one pair, we paid for the second with 50% of his frames. So happy I found them.

The African American lady here will not even acknowledge you! I've come here on TWO different occasions and she has helped everyone that came AFTER me. This means that Sam's optical has lost business at least TWICE! Please hire better associates!!!

They got my contact prescription incorrect on my order and can't figure out how to resolve it. I've been told 3 different things by 2 people that work there and I'm without contacts. The issue should've been resolved within a week but it's yet to be fixed. They were the cheapest route and I wish I'd ordered elsewhere. The associates are nice but I don't see how one can incorrectly submit a faxed prescription and order. I'm still waiting to have the issue resolved.

My last visit was 7/08/22. Dr. Paul White is an incompetent, indifferent, and injurious male doctor through neglect. Please if you’re looking for someone who cares about what they’re doing, consider going elsewhere. He is the only presiding OD at the Walmart health optometry center. Originally I came for a prescription refill for my glasses. The female assistant eye practitioner completed my eye exam measuring my eye pressures 25 mmHg in my left eye & 26mmHg in the other. (The normal range 12-21 mmHg) She kindly informed me of these abnormalities to be high & irregular. Her office is adjacent to Dr. Paul White, so subsequently she informed him right in front of me. His assistant asked him if he would like to examine me and despite the measurements given Dr. Paul White, he bluntly replied No. The assistant informed me the computer charting system was down that day. Regardless, I experienced all the eye equipment were operable and within use. No reason not to proceed with protocol bc there are manual forms for charting. I know this bc I am in the medical field. I made persistence with the assistant & I made sure Dr. Paul White saw me. In his office he asked me what am I here for today? Kind of a dumb question considering Doctors are pre-informed. After explaining, I looked into his equipment having me read words so he could issue my new prescription. I asked him about my pressures and he told me to come back next week bc the computer system was down. It was very strange. He didn’t dilate my eyes to verify the reading nor did he use a flashlight to look more in-depth with a scope like normal doctors. I came back the following week as ordered. When I returned he didn’t even know why I was there. So I reminded him. He used the measuring equipment in his office that day whereas he hadn’t before. My pressures were 18mmHg in my left eye and 20 mmHg in the other. He told me his equipment was more accurate than the assistant’s. So I asked why he didn’t verify my values when they were high last week?He literally told me he didn’t know why. I asked him why would you send me home knowing my values were high? No response. He was annoyed with my questions telling me he doesn’t know why since it was a week ago. I had to beg him to at least dilate my eyes and check for a visual inside my eyes. He was hesitant. Finally he went in his cabinet for the solution. He was aggressive whilst pouring in my eyes splattering it in my face. He didn’t warn me it would burn nor that my eyes would go numb. According to him I needn’t a referral nor a prescription for the pressures. He presumed I was fine. He allowed me not to pay anything that day. I went to Sams optical center instead, excellent care from Tara Donovan, ODPC. I’ve been diagnosed with suspected low tension glaucoma with asymmetric opx2 nerves.

The person helping me is very friendly. The main problem is that the optician never comes on time. This is my third time visiting this location. Also, whats very unprofessional is that they do not put a return time for their breaks. I have been waiting for at least 30 minutes. I need to just pick up my prescription. This is so frustrating.
