I went here on a recommendation from a friend. I got my eye exam and was told I needed glasses. I spent over $300 for one pair and the exam. When they came in I was pleased until I got home and realized the glare was horrible. I paid the extra money for anti-glare and extra scratch protection. There’s letters and numbers on the lenses and that’s exactly where the glare is. This is only on Nikon lenses. I also noticed that while my right eye was improved with glasses, it was still blurry compared to my left eye. I told them about it and they made me another appointment. This exam took an hour and he changed the script. A week later I went in for the new lenses. I couldn’t walk in those, let alone drive. Complete double vision. Now I can’t get in anywhere else for a script to prove them wrong and get a refund. Very unsatisfied. Editing to add that I did get an exam done somewhere else and both of the scripts Walmart gave me were wrong. I got a full refund and now have glasses that I can actually see out of. You have to have a new script that shows different from they are saying to get a refund. Americas best fixed me right up. I can’t believe Walmart made my glasses worse the second time.

The staff and doctor are great and nice but the equipment and system are so old. It was the first optical store that I haven been to which does not have automatic ophthalmic refractometer. Re prescriptions, they couldn’t send to pharmacy … More

This was my first appointment with AVOC, and my first time meeting Dr. Clark. I felt so comfortable and really well cared for! I’ve not had terrible -not great, but not terrible- experiences, so I thought! This office and their staff really set the bar for basic human care, let alone medical services. Beyond grateful for the team I met today! Thank you all so much!

I had the best treatment and the office staff was very friendly and great service. I recommend it to anyone. The Dr was amazing and his treatment was wonderful he treat me as a patient and he explained everything. Asked me questions and answered them. Very detailed on all the thing he was doing. I will come back all the time. I’m happy with the service.

Great place! They take the time to meet your individual needs and did a great job doing so. Would definitely recommend.

I originally had an appointment that was canceled because something happened. After some searching around the receptionist was able to find another appointment before the end of the month. I truly appreciate her diligence of getting that done for me that day over the phone. Because I was planning on canceling this insurance and getting a different one on Nov.1. I wanted to make sure my bill was paid with this insurance. My office visit was done professionally and everyone was really polite. The procedure that was done was great! I haven't had any problems since the procedure. I prefer not to leave a photo. Thank you very much!

I have had glasses since 1st grade , I've long graduated college... I've seen (pun intended) my share of optometrist. Dr Duong is top notch. My wife and I have been going to her for over 4 years. We live in San Diego now and we still go to her for our eye care needs. Visit and you will know why. *Check my other reviews you will see I'm a real person.

I've been seeing Dr. Bainbridge for years for my eye care and he and the staff have always been fantastic. The facilities they moved into a few years back are very impressive and comfortable. All of the staff have a great attitude and comradery and you can tell they enjoy their jobs which is prob not easy in the medical profession. Dr. Bainbridge himself is very relatable while also giving off real genius vibes which is a nearly impossible thin line to walk. Other than being temporarily blinded after each visit for a few hours by the required eye drops, I don't mind going to see him regularly to stay on top of my eyesight. His practice gets my highest possible recommendation.

Excellent & professional staff. You will walk out in a better mood than when you walk in! I visited Visual Effects in Brea on a late Friday appointment after a VERY rough week at work. I was not in the best of moods. But, the genuine friendliness and competency of Dr. Nguyen and the assistants (I'm sorry I forgot their names) completely turned my day around! Every step of the exam was explained to me and all of my questions were answered. In addition, I got plenty of information so that I could decide on lenses for glasses and sunglasses. Plus, I got TONS of help picking out frames for both. I hate picking out frames and have a hard time deciding, but they were so helpful and patient. I never felt rushed. Highly recommended!

I was immediately greeted with a smile as I entered. The staff was very friendly, attentive and professional. Dr. Z was awesome. She took the time to talk and get to know me better. She explained everything to me in regards to my contact lens options. She corrected my prescription and ordered trial lenses, along with full boxes, so I could ensure they were right and offered an exchange if I wasn't happy with them. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're in need! Thank you, Pildes Optical 🙂
