Dr. Martin and all the office staff are competent and kind. I definitely recommend them. I came to Eyemax from another eye doctor who had essentially told me that my issue was all in my head and there was nothing to be done. Dr. Martin did not agree, and has been appropriately managing my dry eye and Thygeson’s ever since. I appreciate that he takes pictures of my eyes at every visit and explains what the pictures show, so I know exactly what’s going on. The only con is that they tend to fall behind schedule, so I have often had to wait long past my appointment time. But that has improved lately, so I’m optimistic that it won’t be an issue anymore.

Love Eyemax Eyecare, have been going to them for over 20 years. Dr Joe is amazing, he specializes in Keratoconus and has helped me throughout the original diagnosis and subsequent follow ups. Dr Joe and the entire staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Especially like the fact the they actually want to KNOW you, and get you what you need no matter what it takes and not just try to get you in and out as fast as they can. They always explain their billing in detail to you and if your insurance pays more than what is listed on your benefits they will send you a check back. The office staff (Ashley in particular) are always very kind and it’s pretty cool that when you walk in after a year they still know who you are. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for good eye doctor, I lived near their office for my first few years, but now live over 50 miles away and will continue to travel to be seen by Dr Joseph Martin.

I've been going here the last five years. Doctor G. is awesome. She takes her time to walk through her findings with me, and explain exactly what's going on. Even when the appointment is over she makes sure to let me know I can call or email any time if I have questions. I also feel very confident in her work. She is thorough in her testing, and my eyeglass prescriptions are always spot on. I previously had only been in for yearly appointments and new prescriptions, but lately I've been having some vision issues outside the norm, and she knew right away what could be causing it. The front desk staff are also awesome. They are friendly and knowledgeable, if Doctor G is with another patient I feel comfortable asking them questions and they have always been able to get me the answers.

Very unhappy! After the doctor visit I was told 2-3 weeks to get contacts, they were all backordered and they would call. No call after a month. I had to call them. Again they said 2-3 weeks. Nothing again for over a month. This happened over and over. I finally told them I'd find contacts elsewhere. Got them at Costco in 6 days. 9 months later I unexpectedly get contacts in the mail. Take them back to this store and they say, we can't take them because you didn't cancel your order. Terrible customer service. I will not return to this company.

I had LASIK done here 15 years ago. It was great - I remember thinking how amazing it was to see so well without contacts. I just went to a new ophthalmologist where I live now and she told me my surgeon was impeccable - she would not have know I had the procedure had I not mentioned it. 20/15 vision 15 years later - no issues. Great work deserves kudos! These guys were GREAT

After seeing the professional optometrist at this location I was given a low-grade staff member to handle my fitting. Well, finally after 8 weeks my glasses arrive to only fit like a kid's glasses. The receptionist on that day told me they fit and told me I had to take them. I told her, why would I take glasses that dont fit? Well, I called my insurance, and now the Manager Emily to have my insurance reimbursed and $100 out of pocket back so I can go get some glasses at Costco as I should have done in the first place. Oh, I'm mad at myself for making the wrong decision but more at them for not getting the order correct.

My whole family has come here sense we all started to need glasses! Love these people and the amazing atmosphere! This is a place the truly appreciates you and knows you by name! Not going anywhere else!

Switched over to this optometrist a few weeks ago and have loved it. My first visit was amazing. I tore my contact and called on a day they were closed. They revived my message and got me a new one that day. The staff is amazing and am so glad I found East Millcreek Eyewear!
