I have been a customer of Newtown Optical for nearly 20 years. Although I have worn glasses for over sixty years and have patronized many optical shops over that time, I have never met an optician quite like Dennis Fittipaldi. His extensive knowledge of optics, his patience in explaining technical optical issues in simple language, his relentless attention to detail, and his commitment to ensuring the satisfaction of every patient define him as a consummate professional. Dennis has cared for my aged mother, who had multiple vision issues; my wife and myself; and many friends and relatives that I have referred to him. And, truth be told, I have never heard anything but the highest complements for the optical care they have received. Whether our needs were routine or complex, Dennis has always managed to resolve them with exceptional results. I recently had cataract surgery and was struggling with my existing glasses while waiting to get my “new” prescription. I discussed the problem with Dennis, and he came up with a simple, inexpensive solution: he looked at my existing progressive eyeglass prescription and was able to provide single vision lenses that allowed me to drive safely and comfortably carry on my daily activities. I was ecstatic. I realize that people are inclined to exaggerate when they write positive reviews, but in Dennis’s case, the high praise is both well-deserved and truthful. I just can't say enough about my experience at Newtown Optical. I am a 56 year old, first time customer to prescription glasses and needed progressive lenses. Dennis was an absolute professional and explained everything to me in detail. He took his time and I never felt rushed. He also found a problem with my prescription and relayed this to my ophthalmologist, who ultimately corrected my problem. Bottom line is...if Dennis hadn't caught the mistake, I would have wasted a lot of money on new progressive lens glasses that would not have been the right strength for me! Finally, the prices at Newtown Optical are very reasonable. The first place I went to in Newtown where going to charge me almost 40% more for the very same lenses I got at Newtown Optical. This is a top notch place with excellent customer service!

Dennis was a tremendous help!!! I walked into Newtown Optical as a first time customer, after my glasses broke and I was in desperate need of a fix. Dennis was able to accommodate me as soon as I walked in and in a timely manner I already had a new pair of glasses I could finally use. He was very knowledgeable, so kind and very helpful. I am so thankful for Dr. Mullin and his fabulous staff. I had very successful cataract surgery by Dr. Mullin. I am now seeing the best I have ever seen, and without glasses! I could not be happier! Highly recommend!

Extremely pleased with Dr. Mullin and my laser cataract surgery results! Can not believe how well I see, better than 20/20 after surgery. Absolutely no pain with immediate results. Thanks to Dr. Mullin's skill and expertise, I see as well as I did when I was a teenager. I am very thankful Dr. Mullin is my ophthalmologist. My last exam was with Dr. Townsend-Mullin. She is the most thorough, professional and personable optometrist. Would highly recommend both physicians.

Hello, Please don't use this location. I went there past Friday and received horrible service from the doctor Maria. Staff is ok but the doctor is not. She didn't even discuss with my result of my exam. Only after i was already at the check out and asked her she told me the result. So if i didn't ask her she wouldn't give me any feedback. I did do an xray of my eye for an extra fee and she didn't say anything about that. I don't even think she really look at it. So she is basically there to right the script and no feedback of your eye health. I would not use them again.

I do not recommend this place. The experience felt like they’re just out to get your money. The eye exam was rushed then was charged for photos of my eyes which wasn’t covered by insurance and I didn’t ask for them. The frames are way overpriced. Went directly to the manufacturers website and they were selling them for almost 50% cheaper. On top of that I was charged insurance on the glasses without being notified about it. My last and most important gripe is when I asked for a copy of my exam, the salesman said I didn’t need it. I’m absolutely sure I’m entitled to a copy of my health record. It wasn’t until I insisted twice that I wanted my record before I got a copy. I will absolutely not be going back there and do not recommend anyone else go there.

Great doc and workers. Doc explained my eye health with pictures and they even price checked to make sure I was getting the best deal and even got a free pair of sunglasses. Great service all around. Everyone was so helpful

My eye DR staff was very nice helpful and friendly. They were very thorough and I did not have to wait long at all. DR. Martinez was great highly recommended. Kathy helped pick out glasses and was very helpful and knowledgeable. They had a wide variety of frames available. Highly recommend anyone who is looking for glasses or sunglasses.

Very Professional. Helped me take full advantage of my vision insurance and when I realized my new lenses weren’t transitional they helped me get the lenses I wanted at no additional cost. Bryan the manager was also very helpful in helping me pick my new frames.
