My review is echoing many before mine. While Dr. Purier was comprehensive and kind, the administrative staff caused me to leave this practice in tears multiple times. Most recently, I was avoiding picking up my glasses for months because of past experiences, and this trip ended the same way- I was told if my glasses were any tighter they’d pinch me (they are sliding off my face as I write this.) They made me use my yearly insurance-allotted appointment just months after my first because they did not enter my most recent prescription correctly, causing my glasses to have the wrong prescription two times. I also took home mislabeled contact samples *twice* causing confusion and headaches. I will never return to this practice, nor would I ever recommend it. It is not worth the emotional distress coming here, even for the convenience of being close.

No Matter when I have gone in to either ask a question about a prescription, make an appointment or inquire about anything there is always extreme pushback from the receptionist. It is extremely disheartening to seek out a smaller clinic for choice care and then for them to be worse than the big business. If I can’t even inquire about a prescription without immediate shut down it’s very unlikely that I will continue to be a patient. Hope we can just take a little more time to listen to patients. This is our vision after all.

(Edit) TLDR: Unless you have been going here for several years and have a good rapport with the staff, I recommend going anywhere else but here in Chicago. The lack of follow through and anger is a reflection that the staff hasn't been trained in navigating the power dynamics of doctor/patient, caregiver/patient. It's a hard one for sure, but until they get that right, AVOID THIS PLACE! -- Extremely rude administrative staff. Good COVID protocols.Doctors are knowledgeable! Maybe Rosin is not paying their administrative staff enough? "Not my problem" attitude + non-communicative / conflict avoidant + overall very angry staff leads me to think management treats their workers poorly...which is sad considering this pandemic should have been an opportunity for organizations to re-up their workplace culture to center their administrative staff. I witnessed one of their workers laugh at and really mistreat someone who came in who could not speak English very well...I felt really lucky that I can speak English that day. -- Solid glasses and sunglasses collection! Not too many wider frame options. But overall, super solid here! -- Street parking is usually easy to find, but you have to pay quite a bit because it's in a more affluent area (Old Town/Gold Coast)! Being right off the Sedgwick brown line stop, public transit here is a lot more convenient.
