I don't live in the area but I was visiting family here when my glasses broke, so I went to Bay Street Optical to see if I could get them repaired. The two ladies at the front desk were very sweet, and gave me a bunch of options for glasses and frames and repairs. Ultimately, I wasn't able to use their services as the manufacturer for my specific glasses wouldn't be able to send my broken part in time before I left town, but I was so happy with the customer service and how understanding they were that I decided to write a review. Thank you guys! :)

At 43 years old I went for my first eye exam in 21 years. I have been having difficulty seeing the computer monitors at work and driving at night. The doctor was very thorough and the staff was amazing helping me pick frames. Can't wait for my first pair of prescription Eyewear to arrive in a few weeks.

I love going there because everyone is so pleasant and helpful. Dr. Loar is very thorough and honest and upfront about your eye conditions and helps to get you what you need. She is very pleasant and spends the time with you and doesn't rush you through. Great place for you to go. Your eyes deserve the best care and you will get it there.

I have been going to Dr. Loar since I moved here in 2011. She is professional, more than competent, and has a wonderful "chair side" manner. I recommend her without reservation! Her staff is helpful and pleasant. My mother has been going to her for many years and has absolutely recommended her without hesitation.

My visit with Doctor Jennifer Loar was amazing. She is very kind, professional, thorough, knowledgeable, courteous, caring, patient, very helpful and informative. I am really pleased with my visit. I am totally blown away by the excellent service they provided.

Took my elderly neighbor for her yearly check-up.. 90+ min wait? Unacceptable. They should've called to reschedule. Uncomfortable waiting area. Very crowded and hot -- sun shines right through the front windows. No cell phones allowed, but no reading matl is offered. All the old people were cranky, and for good reason. Some had waits of 2 hrs. Told this was usual. Front end help seemed indifferent, back-end, they were friendly. I see my drs within 15 min of my scheduled appt time. Always.

Long wait...made us stand outside til last minute waiting til it opened in the heat. Was once a lovely place years ago when it was owned by original owner. I refuse to go to an unfriendly setting with a over priced eyeglass wear center in the office. I don't prefer their pretentious cosmetic center either.

It was our first visit for a new patient eye exam after my little one failed one at his pediatrician. Wait time was minimal, which was great. The tests seemed very thorough and the staff was very patient with my 8 year old, and let me help when needed, which I appreciated. The doctor was kind, comforting, and knowledgeable. They have fairly priced packages for childrens glasses. Very good experience all around.

Sadly I had a really bad experience here. My appointment was back in April, and I wanted to try contacts so they were going to order me some trials. They told me it would be a few days for them to come in. Within a month of my appointment I had called 3 times, because nobody was reaching out to me. Each time I got a different answer “oh it looks like we forgot to order them” “I have no idea where your contacts are” “They are on back order and haven’t shipped yet”. 2 months go by, I finally decide to just walk in there and tell them I am there to pick up my trial contacts, I was there probably 20 minutes because they had to search every room for them, but finally found one pair. They then tell me I also have a set of daily trial contacts, but that they are on back order and they have not received my left eye yet. They told me they would call me to let me know when they ship/arrive. It has now been almost 3 months since I picked up my first pair of trials, and 5 months since my appointment. I still have not received a single call about my daily contact trial. I have never experienced an eye doctor so unorganized!

The young lady at the reception was very rude and condescending. Unprofessional. We left and went somewhere else.

I’ve been going here for 6 yrs. and they do a great job all the way. The staff are professional and courteous, the physicians are amazing, and service is great. As my eyes deteriorate due to aging, these doctors have been on top of whatever is needed to keep me seeing as well as I can. I recommend them highly.
