For
The Eye Center
The Eye Center is the most efficient center I have visited to date. There are no long waits or convoluted processes while receiving services. The staff are always pleasant and professional while providing services. Dr. Oliveras is an excellent optometrist who takes the time to educate her clients after conducting exams. I especially appreciate the opportunity to wear trial contact lenses before finalizing the prescriptions.

I was a patient of Dr Evans for many many years. He retired this year and I booked an appointment to see a new Dr here. Almost 2 hours waiting in the waiting room, I decided to leave. After reading the other reviews about how they aren't respecting the patient's time, I decided better to go elsewhere. I understand waiting is necessary but over an hour or two hours is just ridiculous.

I had a great experience with Ashtin Songster. She explained everything so that I understood. Came to my residence and brought a huge supply of frames to pick from. My glasses should be here in about 3 weeks and they weren't any expensive than if I had gone to her office. Already booked a yearly appointment. with her.

The people that work there are friendly, helpful and smile when you talk to them. I got help picking out my eye glasses. That alone was great. The lady that helped me was awesome.... she even changed where the line for my bifocals goes.... I've never had anyone do that for me, how awesome!!!... can't wait to go back and pick them up in 3 weeks.

Extremely profesional! Exceptional bedside manners! Very gentle and patient! I went in with a scary emergency, and Doctor Balish took all the time in the world to make sure he finds out what’s going on! He even brought in second opinions from other colleagues doctors from his office to make sure that everything he sees is accurate. He reassured me that everything will be alright! He scheduled a follow up and also made a plan in case things will happen before the next following appointment. He took the time to listen to all my concerns and made sure I understood what’s happening and what can be done! I left the office very assured and clear of the plan ahead and mostly that I was in good hands and in the end everything will be alright! Highly recommend him! If they were to have 10 stars, he would earn All of them!

DR Kopel is a very experienced Doctor. He listens to the patient and does a thorough examination. He saw a small flap on the retina and repaired in the office. He is very personable and if he is your Dr you will not be disappointed. He shows great concern for his patients.

I have NEVER had an eye exam like Dr. Jing Ye. And I’ve always been the type that never actually wore her glasses because it would give me a headache when I would but it had been 10+ years and I knew it was time to get an exam. My husband and I went in to get the exams and WOW. We had never had such a comfortable, explanatory, and thorough exam like that. So much so that she gave my husband 2 prescriptions; 1 for driving and everyday and one for working (sports and on the field) and my husband even says that both are so distinct but so perfect for each activity. She’s truly amazing and knowledgeable and I CANNOT stop raving about her to everyone I know who wears glasses and May need an exam soon.

The service I received warrants NEGATIVE stars.
I went to Costco Optical on Heather Ridge to get my glasses. I ordered two pairs of glasses for reading and one for distance.
they called me to tell me two of the glasses were ready. the two glasses that were ready were the two frames I had purchased at Costco. One was supposed to be for distance and one for reading. I had also brought in my own frames and that was supposed to be another pair of reading glasses.
first, I had to wait about 45 minutes to even talk to anyone. when my number was called, I asked the lady about my third pair of glasses and why there was a delay. she said you canceled the order. I insisted I had not, and she was basically a deer in headlights. the manager took a look and said something about the lab having sent them back due to the lines having been drawn on the lenses were incorrect, so they simply removed the lines and resent them to the lab. That issue was addressed... I was not happy, but had an answer other than you canceled the order!! by the way, when I asked where my frames were if I canceled the order, she had no answer other than she did not have my frames.
I confirmed with her that the two glasses I got were one for distance and one for reading. she confirmed.
I also asked about my distance glasses and if they did indeed have the transitions capability I had requested and paid for. She looked at my order and said no, no transitions, and that if I use them for driving, transitions make no sense because they won't change color in the car because they need direct sun to transition.
this woman confirmed that one of the glasses was the reading and one for driving. I used my distance pair to look around and things were not right, I was told that it could just be a new prescription and that I may have to get used to them a bit. I used my new distance glasses to drive and it was absolutely awful; everything was fuzzy and hard to see. I tried for days to 'get used' to my new prescription, but it was impossible; so I decided to go back to my doctor to tell her how awful the new prescription was. luckily, today, I went and picked up my last pair of glasses. an extremely helpful and the only knowledgeable person I have met at Costco Optical in Laguna Niguel, told me that the glasses I picked up today are the distance ones and that the two I picked up before were, in fact, both reading glasses. I tried my glasses to drive home and they are in fact transitions.
I could've killed someone driving around in reading glasses and having been told that I should try them for a few days to get used to my new prescription.
I find the staff I have interacted with -except Jonathan -thus far at the optical department at best inept. I would never order my glasses here again.
thank you Johnathon for your courtesy, knowledge, and help.
