I went here for a check up of my eyes. Dr. Krouner approached me as an eye glass salesman. He said to me: If I could make you see better than you do with your glasses, would you change your glasses. !!!!! who wouldn't want to see better no matter what glasses ????? He didn't explain anything to me about my vision - good or bad - or what he saw with the tests he took. I paid a $40 co-payment on the spot then got billed for another $60.47. He total charge: $165.00 !!! WILL DEFINITELY NOT GO BACK THERE.

Riverfront Optical refuses to fill my glasses prescriptions going forward because I returned a pair of lenses that did not work for me. Hoya progressive lenses are not the same as Varilux progressive lenses, so I requested a refund which they refused. I had to go through my credit card company to get a refund. Apparently telling them a product is not acceptable means they won't provide service any longer.

They just don't seem to keep their appointments unfortunately. When I initially set up my appointment I informed them of the insurance I had and was told that it would be covered with no issue.
The first time, they called me right before the appointment and told me they had accidentally scheduled me with someone who doesn't take my insurance and had to reschedule. Just now they cancelled the rescheduled appointment because the doctor simply wasn't going to be in.
I have no experience with the actual doctors, but it's incredibly frustrating having to request time off multiple times and reschedule for things that they could have quickly verified at the time of appointment creation.

My son and I have been going to this place for a few good years and I’ve recently taken my parents also. Jasmine has been attending to our needs each time and the service is always excellent. The entire staff is excellent and has the best customer service and interaction with people.
I have gone other places and most times, your are treated differently depending on your insurance but no matter what insurance you have, this place treats you like a human being. 100% recommended!

I called this business and asked if they offered free consultations for eye laser surgery. They told me they did and gave me an appointment.
I drove almost 1 hour to get to their office .
When I got there the receptionist asked me how old I was to which I replied I was 60 . She informed me that because of my age I was not a candidate for the free laser surgery consultation nor for laser surgery for that matter . She told me that I would have to pay for the visit as a regular visit !
But hold on , I was there for a free consultation to determine if I was a candidate for laser surgery and was already told I wasn’t at the desk , so why would I have to pay to see the doctor ??
I told the receptionist that it would have been the right thing to tell me this on the phone so I wouldn’t have come for no reason. She replied that she didn’t know my age !
So if you’re over 60 YO and want laser surgery don’t waste your time going there !!
