Dr. Ayalew has been great but the customer service to receive my contacts has been the worst I have ever experienced in 2 decades of wearing contacts. The office team are nice people but every time I go, there is some issue/confusion about ordering my prescription and scheduling a follow up. It took over 1 month for my contacts to arrive when I was given a one-week timeline. Every time I called the office about the status, I received a different response — “it’s being shipped to our office…oops I mean it’s shipped to you”, “It arrived already… wait no it actually won’t be delivered until Friday.” They asked me to come into the office to pick them up, only to find they had mailed them to my house when I arrived. They scheduled me for a contact follow up when it was supposed to be a glasses follow up. It’s ridiculous, frustrating, and stressful. I really hope the service improves because I like Dr. Ayalew but this has been such a strain on my time and really disappointing.

Dr. Ayalew and her entire staff are fantastic. I switched to her practice a few years ago when my previous doctor retired and have been incredibly happy ever since. She is thorough, thoughtful and very knowledgeable. I have an eye condition that requires regular monitoring and correction and she has helped me understand the challenges, solutions and what to expect as I age. Everyone in the office is knowledgeable, helpful and thorough too. In fact, I raved about how great my first experience was so much that my wife started going to her too. Now she won't go anywhere else either. Top notch!

My first time here was by referral from my PCP for my eye exam, and the service was excellent from the receptionist to the doctors, but as always, there are exceptions, and nothing is perfect, and not all employees work with the same passion. Some do it for money only. I felt the doctor was honest based on my issue and wasn't trying to get money from my insurance, but we will see what happens and make an update to this review. Overall place is clean, organized, and decent; directions to get there are not clear, but you will make it.

I had a great time during my visit at Visionary Eye Doctors!!! All of the staff members made me feel welcomed and the atmosphere was so, calming and soothing. All the staff members were very knowledgeable and confident with their job task and even made me laugh a couple of times and got me to do the eye pressure test without blinking. ( Usually this is a highly impossible task for me because, I have trust issues. ) These guys made me feel comfortable and more than welcomed. The Eye Doctor was a young man but, very confident and knowlegable about his craft. Dr. S was highly impressive and had a wonderful, inviting bed side manor. I totally enjoyed my visit and happy I went. You should make it your business to schedule an appointment with this office if you have an eye problem.

Really wonderful optometrist and glasses store with great customer service. Osman was such a great help and really informative about the charges, and everything. Not too expensive and I highly recommend them if looking for a eye exam in the area!

My glasses snapped in half while I was on vacation in DC. I called this place (at 5:30 on a Sunday!) and they were able to find a pair of glasses that fit the lenses. They were both friendly and quick, and also made sure I liked the frames and that they were comfortable. Thank you!

Syed did a great job repairing my glasses which my kid jumped all over on a Sunday morning. He was quick, careful, and overall provided a very pleasant experience in his shop. Glad I found this for future glasses needs!

Last year, they helped me pick great frames I have gotten a million compliments over. This year, I got my exam just prior to the pandemic and never got back to get the lenses installed and ended up moving to Connecticut before getting it done. I realized I forgot to settle the issue after I moved and they offered to do it by mail and did so quickly and perfectly. Also, they are my first bifocals and the difference between their lenses and the cheap temp glasses I ordered online while I was waiting for the mail is LIFE CHANGING. Really, order your lenses/glasses from them and definitely don't go online.

Went in for readers and found the sunglasses I had been searching for. Great people and great selection of eyewear. Ended up leaving with two pairs of glasses.

Friendly and reliable with modern frames. Fantastic service.
