The service here is the worst! I was promised that I would get my contact lens prescription on a Friday. I had to call in and then I was told it would be on the next day! Finally when I call to follow up, they wouldn’t pick my call and I had to leave a voicemail with no call back. Then I call again in the evening, only to be told that I will get the prescription on Monday because now their office is closed! I would never go to this place again!

My first time at Eye Focus Optometry was last month. Dr. Nguyen saw me and she was the best! She was very kind, professional and explained every detail to me about my eye exam, the results and she answered all of my questions with patience. I have been a patient at Eye Focus Optometry for about 5 years now and never experienced any issues. For my previous exams, I was seen by Dr. Cindy Nguyen and yesterday I was seen by her associate optometrist: Dr. My Diep/Guino. What really motivated me to write this 5-star review is the experience I just had with their office. I had my annual eye exam yesterday with Dr. Diep and everything went well for the most part. However, when it came time to pay for my exams and contact lenses order, I was shocked to see how much extra I had to pay out of pocket after my insurance coverage. I didn’t make a fuss about it and paid it anyway as I didn’t want to come off as a Karen and I understand how healthcare costs has inflated over the years. Today, one of the staff from Eye Focus actually reached out to me to let me know that I was mistakenly charged the wrong rates for my exams and that my card will be refunded. I really appreciated how polite and professional the staff member was with addressing the issue and how the office took accountability for it even when I had no complaints. It really shows the integrity of the doctors and staff at Eye Focus Optometry. I’m really happy with the experiences I’ve had with their office so far and will continue to have my annual exams here.

Our whole family has been going to Advance Vision from the start. From Dr. O and now Dr. Shin for us. Always a great experience and friendly staff!

Great doctor but poor customer service and fraudulent selling practices. I have been going to Advanced Vision for 10 years seeing Dr. Shin but after being ripped off I won't be going back. I think he is very competent and personable but the front office is a mess. I got a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and paid almost $400 for them in May 2015. They gave me headaches from day 1 and so I brought them back. They adjusted the prescription and remade them with the same result. Cindy and Kerry said they couldn't do anything else. They never offered me a frame exchange on $250 frames which is Maui Jim policy. I went in to get another pair a year later when I had insurance coverage and they offered me a measly 20% discount for a new pair but that pair was going to be $471, $100 more than last time. Liz had the nerve to say I never should have had my last pair because of my astigmatism but would not make any adjustments to correct for THEIR mistakes. For the last two years Cindy mis bills my insurance by billing my exam and glasses under my wife's name. They correct it but can't seem to prevent it from happening each time I go in. Last year they also overcharged my wife on her glasses and I found out when I got the explanation of benefits from my insurance. I was issued a refund after calling their office multiple times. They also layer on lots of add-ons that aren't covered by insurance to make the prices even higher. There are lots of options for optometrists and this is not one to consider unless you like overpaying for poor quality work.

I'm grateful to have been a patient here while I lived in the area. Dr. Chow and the entire staff were always friendly and gave their full attention during my appointments. They even custom ordered a replacement for my favorite old frames!
