Once being referred to this clinic. I wouldn’t go nowhere else. I recommend if you’re having problems with your eyes this clinic is where to go. I have had nothing but the best care.

without their expertise I likely would have become blind in my right eye. Fortunately Kaiser referred me them.

It was so easy! No stress—and usually it’s been stressful…like most my life. Dr. NG was very patient. And as a result my vision won’t be compromised.
The optometrist was extremely capable. Chris was patient as well. We spent almost 3 hours selecting the right configuration of frames/lenses.
He was respectful of my time when people who didn’t have an appointment wanted to suck up my time. I dislike it when other customers use the time I’ve set aside.
What typically happens is that the person waiting on me will drop everything for the other customer when then I was already first—not here.
If you’re one of those clients who skip ahead of other people and wait, you’ll have to wait. If you’re a customer who values being seen as a priority, then you’ve come to the right place.
So, I felt like a customary, “first come, first serve.”
They have optometrists who speak Spanish, and the view is pleasant because it overlooks Union Square.
The selection has improved at Lens Crafters, and the equipment is more updated than Costco. That said, while I get a great eye exam and affordable lenses at Costco, there’s always this “heavy” oppressive energy and the smell of hotdogs and cocktail shrimp in the air at Costco. And it’s always crowded—optometry and exam.
I thought it would be harsh going in through Macy’s but it’s a quick walk from Powell Street BART up to Union Square. A relief. I’m a raging introvert so it’s nice to get away to a quiet spot of a department store. I recommend doing early to beat the afternoon crowds.
Amenities: The bathrooms are downstairs near the escalator side. After frame shopping you can get a glass of wine at the wine bar on the 3rd floor or Starbucks.

I cannot speak highly enough about the exceptional care I have received from this optometry team regarding my recent Contact Lens Trial. From the moment I walked in, their commitment to patient care has truly been at the forefront of my experience. I've interacted with both Dr Hall and Dr Szeto.
The team's dedication to helping patients shines through in every interaction. They have always gone above and beyond to address my concerns and answer my questions with genuine patience and expertise. Regardless of how busy they may be, I've never felt rushed during my appointments. It's evident that they prioritize quality over quantity, which is a rare and invaluable trait in today's healthcare landscape.
What sets this optometry practice apart is their flexibility. I've had the privilege of being seen by multiple doctors within the practice, and each one has left a positive impact. Their knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to listen create an atmosphere of trust and comfort. They took the time to explain procedures and test results, ensuring that I am fully informed about my eye health.
Thank you to the entire team for consistently going above and beyond. Your dedication to patient well-being does not go unnoticed, and I am truly grateful for the outstanding care I have received.

After my most recent visit I realized that I've been going to Dr. Szeto for 10 years! For all of those years, Dr. Szeto has been wonderful. She's kind and patient and always takes time to make sure my prescription is accurate. Her staff is also always really nice and friendly. I look forward to my yearly appointments.
