I feel like Dr. Masson manipulated and bamboozled me into contacts that sounded like a dream for my 11 year old son. They give u 20/20 vision for the day after u sleep in them each night! Sounded too good to be true because it was! Turns out they are hard contacts. She never mentioned that. They hurt so much to put in kid's eyes that they first use numbing drops. She never mentioned that. My son had tears streaming down his face saying he felt like his eyes were being poked. He said this several times to her. Later when the numbing drops wore off he felt the poking feeling more. Plus he felt pressure on his eye exactly where the contact had been on the front of his eye. I called the doctor the next day and reported this had continued after we left. The day after she saw us and checked his eyes, ignored how he felt and exclaimed his eyes were fine, let's get those hard contacts back on! Seemed the only thing she cared about. I said no we aren't putting those on his eyes. She thought the pressure on his eye that he felt nowhere else on his face or body except for where the contact had been, might be sinuses. I was like wow. Anyway fast forward to 4 weeks later. The feeling had never gone away. He continued feeling it and even said sometimes he gets a really bad feeling like the contacts are still on his eye. PRETTY SPECIFIC. I called each week to report this. So we see Dr. Masson again. She came in looking at his eyes as if this was a new issue she hadn't heard about despite several calls reporting things were not getting any better but worse. She said his eyes looked fine. And seemed to suggest pollen might be causing it. I'm like hold on, are you saying you don't think this is related to the contacts. She says no with a straight face. I'm like so this feeling he's never felt in his life but started once you put the contacts on his eyes and has continued since and hasn't gone away for 4 weeks is not related to exactly when it started. She's like no I don't think its related. It's so weird how she had no idea what was happening with his eyes but she knew it wasn't the contacts. I said well that's that then. We had nothing else to speak about if she was going to play dumb and gaslight me and my child. The woman who first told me she just wanted to make sure my son's eyes were taken care of with all his health issues he was dealing with suddenly didn't seem to really care about what might be happening with his eyes. But she definitely seemed to care about pushing those 2000 dollar contacts. So we added another thing to the list of things my son was dealing with on top of his severe stomach pain and inability to walk. Now his eyes bothered him. It's been months now and it still occurs. I was refunded 1500 meaning I paid 500 to be seriously stressed out and add more issues to my son's life. I had thought Dr. Masson was fantastic until I realized the lengths she would go to deny the obvious and leave my son with an issue that continues to this day. But that's when you see what doctors are really like. And I didn't like what I saw and will never step foot in that office again.

Every one at Coastal Vision were just so great and very helpful. They went above and beyond to assist me. I will be having my surgery before Christmas and that is the best present I could ask for and Coastal Vision is making that possible. They are a 10 out of 10.

I went to the Campbell location for a prescription checkup and am very happy with my experience. After my appointment with Dr. Tetrault, who was very kind, I was shown some frame options while my current pair were adjusted and cleaned. The options were reasonably priced but I was not pressured to buy anything like I have been at other optical offices. I was able to get a copy of my updated prescription and paid about $70 for an out-of-pocket/uninsured standard eye appointment (no contacts). If you need an easy eye appointment, especially a standard yearly update, I recommend Alvernon Optical!

Dr. Thomas Lee is amazing. He found that I had narrow or closed angle glaucoma and immediately recommended I see an opthalmologist who performed a procedure to halt the glaucoma. Thank you Dr. Lee for saving my eyesight!!
