We have been coming to Nu Eyes for years and have always had great experience with Dr. Ma. With remote learning and staying home all day, my son's eyes are getting worse and worse at a alarmingly fast pace, so Dr. Ma recommended us to get miSight contacts to slow his myopia. I was concerned to go during Covid, but they assured me every precaution is taken to ensure safety of their staffs and customers. We showed up at the appointment time and were promptly allowed in with 1 other group of customer that we were able to keep apart from. They took everyone's temperatures, had everyone sanitized their hands and masked properly. There are glass dividers set up at every station with air purifiers running. When we went in the testing office, every surface was wiped clean and sanitized. Dr. Ma was very helpful and took the time to explain and answered our questions. She patiently taught us how to handle the contacts and put them in and out, checking to ensure it was proper fit. My son was frustrated because it isn't easy for a kid to put in contacts, but he managed to do it with Dr. Ma's guidance. Overall this has been a great and safe experience given the current global pandemic.

Bought a pair of glasses recently. Been to lots of different vision centers and none of them charged me examination fee; however, this place charges $75 if you don't decide to buy their glasses and $30 even if you do. They trick you into the examination because they make you do the exam first even before you look at the glasses and they did this without telling you the cost. When I finally picked a pair of glasses - mind you they weren't one of those popular luxury brands - they told me if I get the extra thin lenses with warranty plus the exam plus the AR film they apply it would come close to $750 which is ridiculously priced. When they saw I was about to leave, they gave me the whole thing for $500 which just says how overpriced their glasses are. A week later, I went to go pick up the glasses. They only had 2 people working so I had to stand outside waiting for about 20 minutes before someone was able to let us in. They didn't even take our temperatures. The guy that helps tighten your glasses then tells us that we need to be careful when selecting glasses that nose piece like the ones I chose aren't able to be adjusted. So why didn't anyone tell us this when we were picking glasses? He also wasn't very professional. He didn't even clean/sanitize the glasses after he touched them which many other vision centers did for me. Definitely do not recommend.

I never leave Google reviews, however I have been inclined to given my experience. It started off great, I called and ordered my contact lenses on Tuesday, October 3. I was leaving for a 5 day work trip the following week and asked for express shipping in which they told me it would be 2-3 business days. So theoretically it should have arrived by Friday (Oct 6) / Saturday (Oct 7). I was grateful because they express shipped it for me free of charge. The following week rolls by and I never hear from them. Then I got a call on my business trip asking me how my contact lenses are ..... well I never got them! When I return from my work trip on October 14 (Sat), I call back asking for an update. My contact lenses have not arrived and they should be in the following week. The next week (October 16) I call multiple times, first they said it's most likely a problem with their manufacturer and they were going to follow up with them. A few days pass and I call again, then they said they have not arrived because of the rain (which is the lamest excuse I've ever heard). By Thursday, October 19 I call AGAIN and they apologize and say they are going to overnight it. Well as you can see from the pattern they did NOT arrive the following day. I am very active and have not been able to participate in any physical activities to the fullest extent with my glasses on. It took 3 WEEKS to get my contacts when they were supposed to be expressed shipped. When I came and picked up my contacts I asked for a free 2 week supply, which you usually receive after an eye exam, I thought this was the least they could do given the HORRIBLE inconvenience. Nothing against anyone personally, but you can find better faster service somewhere else. I won't be ordering through them again.

I had a *wonderful* experience here, and my case wasn't actually so straightforward. I came in with a prescription from an ophthalmologist and ordered new glasses and sunglasses; I was very happy with the selection, the staff were super helpful, and I appreciated that they found a way to work with my insurance to get costs down a bit. When the glasses came in, I tried them for a few days but knew something wasn't right - it turns out that I had been given a really careless prescription by my eye doctor. What really blew me away was how patient and accommodating they all were at American Eye Care, willing to work with me to fix a problem that 100% was not their fault (they simply filled the prescription I came in with). They compared my old and new frames and noted a real discrepancy in the prescription, and then they quickly gave me a appointment (at no extra charge) with the optometrist on staff. Unlike the ophthalmologist I had first seen in Manhattan, Dr. Stadlen took GREAT care to make sure he got my prescription exactly right - he was incredibly thorough. My new glasses came in a week later and they are perfect. I cannot say enough good things about the customer service here. They went above and beyond to accommodate me even when they didn't have to. I will be coming back here for all my future eyewear.

Its been almost 2months passed and I haven’t received my safety glasses. At this point, I gave up. I called multiple times to follow up the order status. Every time I called workers said manager is not available then they wrote down my number and my name for call back. No one called me back about the update or what is going on. Their customer service is like infinite loop.

I had a great experience here picking out glasses and getting an eye exam. The protesting is great and very efficient they have an amazing selection. I picked a pair of glasses I love and will be back for more.

My brother needed glasses, and the service at Advanced Vision Care was exceptional! The staff was friendly, and the doctors provided thorough and caring assistance. My brother and I both left highly satisfied and grateful for their outstanding service. Highly recommended!

I had a corneal abrasion that was worsening. Dr. Kakzanov did a fantastic job, his manager Amy got me an appointment right away and sent the prescription immediately. I was very pleased and my eye feels much better after a few days with the drops. I am very appreciative for this, especially because I am in surgery all day and have a difficult schedule that they were able to work around.

Stay away from this place. I arrived half hour early for my appointment as suggested. The wait time is over two hours. The front desk give me a generic answer for waiting long “ I do not know why the wait time is so long”. The service is average. So sad Focus Eye Care no longer took my insurance.

Very very very bad experience I don’t recommend anyone to go to this clinic. they canceled your appointment without let you know. I was waiting for three month appointment and then they canceled it without. Let me know and all the workers it has a bad attitude. And also the doctor he’s bad he have attitude. I don’t recommend anyone to go to this clinic or all one of them.

I’m writing this review mainly about my eyeglasses that I made in that office and not about the doctor. Please don’t buy your frame or make it from them it is not worth it. First thing first they barely had any options, whatever.. I paid way too much money for my eyeglasses frame and the lens for them to give me a really cheap box with it which is fine I didn’t care at that very moment. I also had given them my measurement yet they messed it up. And also it hasn’t even been a year and my glasses are already dangly and the lens feels like it’s coming out of the frame already. So yeah go somewhere else for your glasses.
