I called this morning to make an appointment for a complete eye exam. I saw their new office this weekend on McMullen Booth only 5 miles from my home. I told her I would like to make an appointment for exam told her what my insurance was and more than once she asked to you have vision insurance I told her I get one free eye exam yearly and it’s a 35 co pay after for visits. Then she said something about 200.00 dollars again I explained my insurance and suggested she checked if they excepted my plan. No response. She then asked me if I wear contacts I said yes. Well if you want eye measurement for contact prescription you have to go to Largo we do not have equipment here at this location. I was so stunned by this. Build a huge new office and they do not have equipment to handle a simple contact lens prescription. Totally ridiculous. I said I will continue to look for someone who can accommodate my needs she said that’s fine.

Would never recommend to anyone. ever. Dr. Coffey gave me so much attitude. I am 16 and felt like I had to be more mature than her and act as her Mom. She was so irritable and reactive, I did not ONCE feel like the patient in that exam room. Her communication skills are terrible and I came out of my exam more confused than when I first walked in.

Dr. Spencer is very knowlegeable and skilled and communicated in both a very helpful as well as in an informed manner. He really cares about his patients and about providing the best possible care.

Service from staff was quick for eye pictures and vitals then after sitting over an hr for a 5 maybe 10 min checkup in total, I asked if the Dr was there. Would have been nice to been told Dr was on lunch and the wait is approximately an hr instead of asking. I wasn't in a rush, just wanted to be kept in the loop that's all. Other than that, everything else went fine.

Just very professional. Then kind to me and medical issues and went up and above to get my eyes done in urgent matter so l I could go ahead with my medical care to save my life. Thank you

First off, I was in this office for HOURS just to see the doctor for less than 10 minutes. I must have seen about 4 different assistants, one does testing, another asks questions, another does the glasses, etc. Meanwhile, they have me moving from room to room, and I do not walk easily. But this isn’t even the worst part. I check my patient portal later on, and I am “diagnosed” with things the doctor never even told me about! It says these things were discussed that Dr. Mueller did not mention in the 10 minutes I saw her. I tried calling, left a message for a technician to call me back, and never received a call. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! It is nothing but a scam for insurance money.

Dr. Leighton and his team are the bomb! From the minute you walk in and are greeted by his very courteous and experienced front office team to the exam room experience, best eye practice around! Dr. Leighton is a fantastic communicator and discusses each and every procedure and option in great detail. Tons of technology, great selection of eye wear and the manner in which you are treated will make this my family's go to place for eye care. Thank you, Dr. Leighton and Team!
