Guys… this place is so underrated on the outside. When you come in your greeted to a warm lit, calm, yet pleasant, joyful like they actually like their job! Great easy going staff, amazing experience!! You walk into this place and greeted with a smile!! No joke! Staff so attentive. They aren’t hiding or texting in the back. Every person I saw walk-in was “expected” or given all the attention. It’s nice. I saw the lady in photo her glasses adjusted and even that lady was quick, detailed, and efficient as the customer walked away with a smile! The oldies in the background is pleasant. It’s clean! “We’d be happy to … “ and other phrases were said more than 3 times during my wait. Was tested and had a great and peaceful appointment and left with more pep than I had when I first walked in. Great job Texas State Opt!!

Thorough, professional, all staff members were great at their job and friendly. First visit and liked it - saw Dr Buck. Spent time pricing frames and lenses - good selection, prices seemed reasonable but need to look more before I buy. No pressure. Been going to optometrists around the USA for several decades now, and this is a modern, excellent business. Took my Tricare insurance plan and zero copay or issues.

The insurance billing policy is arcane, frustrating, confusing, inconsistent and more than inconvenient.
I have been a client for many years For the last 3 years after some discussion Acuity was able to bill VSP for an eye exam and Medicare for an ophthalmologist visit.
Now for inexplicable policy changes Acuity insists that these 2 appointments must be on 2 separate visits.
Why would anyone subject themselves to multiple appointments, with waiting times extending nearly an hour past the scheduled time??
Should I mention the limited selection of overpriced frames?
That said Dr Perry is terrific. If it wasn't for his excellent care I would never return.

It's hard to draw that fifth star out of me, but the fish tank sealed the deal.
Jokes aside, Dr. Martin and his team have been taking care of my eyes my whole life and even now as a mostly independent adult, I've never felt compelled for any reason at all to look for someone else. Amazing people, through and through.

They were very welcoming and knowledgeable. I have not received my glasses yet, but the selection and purchase process was exceptional.

My appointment was 1:30 pm and a other ladiy come in before me 1 minute early but the young lady appointment at 3:00 pm. I just know they was going to call me. No way they call here first. Than a Walk in come in guess what they call her before me. I can tell you one thing. I'm not coming back . Customer service it's not the same any more.

No mention of 20-minute delay upon check-in which would have catalyzed an understanding re-schedule. He put drops in my eyes and said to wait 4-5m before the exam. 15m later and only after following up, he saw me with a shrug and a perfunctory apology. Would give 0 stars if possible and will actively tell everyone how Dr. Sperry values others' time.

Dr. Hayden is a tremendous surgeon and a very caring person.
I loved that we prayed after procedure and then he personally called later that night to check on me.

My daughter had an exam here for glasses and contacts. After the exam we paid for the glasses and contacts in full. They set up a separate appointment to teach her to put in contacts. This was strange, because she already had contacts and it was unnecessary, but they acted like we had to do it. When we went to that appointment she went in alone because she just had to pop in some lenses and move on, she's 17 so we figured she would be fine.
In that appointment, without speaking to me or my wife, they changed the contacts we had already paid for to a set that was over $100 more expensive. When I went to pick them up they asked me for the remaining balance and I demanded a refund instead.
This is blatantly dishonest business tactics. It was a bait and switch by taking advantage of a minor child.
Even if there was a necessary reason for a more expensive brand, which there wasn't, (we went somewhere else and got contacts without being ripped off) that should require at minimum a phone call to the legal guardian and/or the person whose credit card was used.
Every Review metters. See what people say about clinics.
