I have been here for a while now and I have finally decided that today was my last day here. They are so racist and if you’re black you will sit there until each and every white customer is seen and satisfied. Never again! And they over price us too. Ask for your receipt

“Doctor” Jason Thompson is the most ignorant and condescending person I have ever encountered. This man doesn’t even deserve to be called a doctor and he definitely believes he is superior compared to other eye doctors. Let me be very clear, this person needs to be dealt with because from what I have heard, many people feel the same way about this disgusting human being. He has no characteristics of what an actual doctor should be like and certainly has gained no respect from anyone because he looks like a JOKE.

I've been here twice and never had any issues very nice friendly people great selection of Medicaid frames and as a bonus they can usually get you in quick.

Friendly staff that listens and explains everything clearly and easy to understand manner. As a repeat customer I have always been very happy with the variety of styles available and quality of prescription eyewear provided by the professional staff in a timely manner.

Everything is outdated. It seems like chaos a lot of the times, it’s just mediocre. & they kept ordering me the wrong contacts after I asked them not to 3 times!

I go to Americas Best every year for my annual eye exam. Sometimes it’s packed and the wait can be long. However, my appointment from start to finish was less than a hour! All the ladies on staff today were efficient and friendly! The associate that stood out the most to me was Dashanae. She is a very nice, and knowledgeable young lady. She saved me money on my visit and explained everything that I was purchasing. I paid half of what I paid last year for the same options. This was the best visit I’ve ever had here! I couldn’t wait to leave this review because America’s Best needs to know what a great team they had on staff today, especially my new friend Dashanae.

I went for an appointment almost a year ago. I was able to order glasses right away and they were fine. I wore my trial pair of contacts and called to let them know they were good. I had to keep calling and stopping every few weeks. Finally, this past Saturday after showing my frustration, a lady took me seriously and said she would get my contacts prescription finalized . However today they called me back and said it’s been almost a year and so they won’t finalize my prescription and I need to make another appointment for an exam. Stay away from these people! Far, far away!!!!

I will never go back to this office again. I was offered lens that should never have been put in my eyes. I complained and was referred from one doctor to another. The last one I saw was very rude. I went for an annual exam and after the assistant checked my eyes with that cardboard shield, the Dr came in and said I was okay and didn’t even check my eyes. I asked how he knew my eyes were okay because I still could not see. He SLAMMED his hand on the desk and hollered “you want your eyes checked, we’ll check your eyes. I asked if Medicare would pay for it and he hollered back “no they won’t. So I told him to forget about it and I left. I will never return there.

Very unprofessional Staff was laughing and having conversations as if they were on a lunch break for 45 minutes as patients waiting in the waiting area. The wait is ridiculous for obvious reasons. I won’t be returning.

This is my 3rd time bringing my son to the 1st ave. location. I bought my son there yesterday to get fitted for contact lenses and for some reason that I am still confused about on why that did not happen. They made him another appointment to get fitted for contacts only after he bought in to them the last prescription he has so they can see the prescription he has on the old contacts. I asked the staff why does that matter and I'm still waiting on a answer for that question. Also without checking with my insurance company one of the staff members at the front desk told me the fee was going to be 90-250 dollars and I said why, because I have never paid that much before for his prescription and they said because he is a new contact lens client and that's not true because he has been there before for an examination for contacts and glasses. I cancelled his second appointment with them and called another eye clinic and explained to them what happened with The Eye Clinic and they immediately made him a new appointment for contacts and they also told me the fee and it was no where near 90-250 dollars. I am very disappointed in the service that me and my son received and I will NEVER go back!
