I'm was disappointed that I received a call from Dr Herz office - 23 hours in advance of my appointment to say that the Doctor has a meeting and has to cancel my appointment. I set my appointment a month in advance and this is unacceptable. I ended up setting an appointment to reschedule but it bothered me enough to find someone else who would provide a high-level of customer care. When I called back to cancel I was on hold for 12 minutes waiting for someone to cancel that appointment (say it all right there). I would never cancel an appointment with one of my customers like this and I should invoice their office for the inconvenience. I would not recommend you to see Dr Herz or anyone at Glenview Eye & Vision.

This facility is quite close to my home and they were able to give me a same day appointment for an eye issue and since I was a new patient I was grateful. The staff was helpful and polite. There was a bit of a wait but since they squeezed me in, that was to be expected. Patients in the waiting room wore their masks and were reminded by the staff when someone came in without one. I saw Dr. Rau who was very good. He was thorough and explained everything to me. I would go back to see him again and if you are looking for an ophthalmologist he is a solid choice.

The front staff is friendly, patient and accommodating. They do not try to upsell you. If you ask for generic frames using your insurance plan, they will show you a selection that will fit your needs. On my first visit, I chose both frame and polycarbonate gradient tinted lens. When my prescription changed, I liked my original frames so I just switched to tritex gradient lens. This new plastic is so clear, it's like not wearing glasses at all! I like gradients that serve as both outdoor shades and indoor readers. My first prescription was from LensCrafter. The glasses felt over-prescribed so this time I used a prescription from Kaiser. Based on the positive reviews, next time I will use Dr. Mohammed.

The employees/Manager don't have respect for you. Also we can say what we want about the place because they gave us a bad customer service and bad attitude. I will never come back to this place to spend money to buy glasses and the manger was screaming in my face while we where talking just because i did't understand they did't have the patience to help me.

Update: was able to get the issues resolved. Greatful to be able to see again. The owner was friendly. Short staffed. Running late. I didn't seem to matter because of being on Medicare due to being on SSDI. Very limited choice of men's frames. Frames got snagged on my shirt taking it off. Had them maybe a few days. A week at most. They said the frames had no warranty. But could buy another pair. It felt like I didn't matter there because I didn't have better insurance and more money.
