While patient care is top notch here when you’re seeing an optometrist, customer care and patient care outside of scheduled appointments is frustratingly inconsistent. Sometimes I receive replies to my questions and other times I don’t; sometimes I receive appointment reminders and other times I don’t; I never received a reply to a voicemail; there was a contacts order that had been delayed months with no word; etc.
I love the optometrists here, but as consistency has continued deteriorating, I’ve gotten the feeling that they’re just not a very organized operation. It’s sad but it might be time to start shopping around after being a patient for years.

Dr Rudyak and her assistant Alice are extremely knowledgeable, kind, helpful and fun to work with. The eye exam was very thorough and informative. Dr. Rudyak went out of her way to be sure that my lenses were perfect. She is so caring and accommodating. It was fun selecting frames with Alice and I am very happy with my choices. They also worked with my busy schedule and made it so easy for me to get appointments that worked for me. I highly recommend Sea Cliff Optometry.

I love Dr. Chan and his team! Everyone is so kind and professional. I’ve been seeing Dr. Chan for more than a decade and I trust him so completely. Also, they have a good selection of frames to choose from.

Went in for an annual eye exam. Working with Medicare is tough but providers are required to provide care. But not Haight Street Eyecare. The doc had some event scheduled right after my exam and tried to rush my exam, then cut it short (just bad planning?). We did finish it and a new pair of glasses was warranted.
So I pick out frames and ask about payment, using my Medicare Advantage plan. Ok, I understand not wanting to pay lower prices with Medicare negotiated rates, but apparently the doc instructed his office manager not to sell me glasses at all. I asked about payment plans for my copay - no way. So I realized that there was no point in sticking around. As I went to clean my glasses two of the office staff screamed out "No, don't. You'll scratch your glasses." Asked for a glasses wipe - no way. I asked for my Rx so I could order glasses online to save a little money. The manager insisted that online companies cannot provide the same required service, e.g. pupil distance measurement, that they could.
So they won't sell me glasses, but they feed me a(n untrue) line (can get PD from store and then use it for online orders) saying I should not order online. It seemed like their objective was to harass and toy with me.
Don't go there. Don't feed into their attitudes. Don't even go there for an eye exam. It's not worth the hassle or abuse.

I scratched my cornea and was able to get a same day appointment as a new patient at Haight Street eye care. Dr Situ was extremely thorough and kind. When I was still experiencing pain the next day, he again squeezed me into be seen. He also emailed me later that day to check that I was still feeling better. The office staff are also kind and attentive. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Tucked in a Stephenson alley downtown San Francisco, the office is charming and warm. I received excellent care here from Dr. Lin. The staff here are helpful and friendly. This is a great area to spend time between a procedure and post-procedure evaluation.

The billing department is very rude and unprofessional. I asked to resubmit my claim electronically from February 2023 with my insurance but the account manager refuse to do it. They keep submitting it by mail which doesn't work with my insurance.
They made a mistake with my phisical address in my profile so I never even received the bills. Very dissapointed

This is the fourth time I am coming to this place, and people are so disorganized. No appointment reminder, no promised email; you have to call for them to follow what they had promised to do. Today I was supposed to be seen at 115, and it is almost 2; no one is reaching out to let me know what is happening. I hope that they find a way to run the place efficiently because I like my Dr.

I was diagnosed with cataracts years ago. The thought of the surgery to repair the cataracts scared me, so I just lived with the progressively poorer vision. Came a time when the realization that I was going legally blind finally overwhelmed my fear of the surgery.
I scheduled a visit to Goodman Eye Center. Dr. Elizabeth Shen did my original examination. She was great! Walked me carefully and patiently through the various procedures and options. Explained why some options weren't for me because of my eye's physiology. We arrived at a Lasik procedure that replaced the cataract lenses with lenses that also corrected my vision. These lenses are finely adjusted in-place within in the eye via non-intrusive UV light to gain the highest degree of correction. Dr Shen cautioned me that due to an abnormality in the corneas of my eyes that I would likely need glasses to completely correct for the astigmatism.
The end result is rather astounding. My eyes are now 20-15 and turns out I do not need glasses at all. Plus the severe yellow tint caused by the cataracts (of which I wasn't even aware before the surgery) is gone. It's a stunning thing to experience.
Dr. Shen has a great personality and crazy-good skills and knowledge which she patiently shares until all questions and concerns have been answered. She under-promises and over-performs. She's simply kind of amazing

I had Lasik Surgery yesterday. Dr. Goodman and his staff were incredible, extremely punctual, professional, helpful and calming. I walked in to the appointment virtually blind and walked out with 20/15 vision. Painless and very quick. I highly recommend the Goodman Eye Center to anyone considering Lasik. I waited too long myself. It's a no brainer.

Only seldom comes the day when one is granted one of his life's fondest wishes. I've never liked wearing glasses and contact lenses, and I'd always said that if I had three wishes from a genie, one would be to correct my eyes. Well, in that sense, Dr. Shen is a genie and a miracle worker. The entire staff was friendly, direct, honest, and comforting through the entire process and now I have better than 20/20 vision. Thank you, Dr. Shen!
