Appt. Was at 12:30 pm but I didn’t leave until 3:15. A very full waiting room the entire time I was there. I didn’t have any other appointments but felt they were very understaffed. Hope the dr. Can get some more reliable, committed staff. The bi-lingual receptionist was cheerful and kind even though she was primarily the only one manning the window. Dr. Klein is a wonderful dr. And I know he will address the issues in the mmgt of his office.

I've always had a good quality eXperience since coming here. Haven't had to wait very long. The staff has been professional. The Dr's have been helpful and knowledgeable. It's not a rock concert so it's not a party and good fun but for being a Doctor visit, its no hassles and I definitely recommend this place! 💯👍 …

Absolutely blown away by my new vision! The staff is very friendly and takes their time to make sure that you understand and are comfortable with everything. Highly recommend this location!

Dr. Lin was very through with the eye exam. He then gave a heart felt one-on-one explanations of my current eye situation and recommended the best options me to decide. The facilities are very updated and every staffs impliments and practices Covid-19 regulations. I highly recommend Dr Lin.

Dr. Nouri is an outstanding clinician and I highly recommend her. She takes time to get to know her patients and understand their questions. She is extremely knowledgeable and is easily reached by phone or email -- her accessibility is unparalleled in medicine. I am forever thankful for Dr. Nouri's medical care.

Be sure to check with your own insurance company that they are in network before going. I went for my appointment and at the end I was charged way more than i have in the past at this location. They informed me they are an in network provider. After speaking with my insurance company they told me they were not in network. My insurance stayed the same from previous appointment so i didn’t feel the need to call my insurance to confirm. When Ion Vision called to confirm my appointment they also stated they were able to pull my information and confirmed I was in network. When I called Ion Vision about this issue they kept telling me that they accept my insurance and that they are in network. When I tried to explain the difference between accepting insurance and being in network they just kept telling me they are in network. I gave up trying to explain this to the lady as she was not understanding the difference. The front desk staff needs to make sure they are communicating the correct information to patients so this doesn’t happen. I was not very pleased with how they handled the situation and will never go back.

I was new to the area and wanted to establish care at a reputable optometrist since I have some severe dry eye problems. I arrived at my appointment only to be told by front desk that they didn't take my insurance and that I could pay out of pocket for this visit if desired. I agreed since I drove an hour to get there and thought it would be worth it. When I got home, I double checked my insurance and it turns out the front desk was wrong, and I had paid out of pocket for no reason other than the fact thay they made a mistake. Long story short, I have been given the runaround multiple times by their billing department and doubt I will ever get my money back as it has already been about 4 months. Very disappointed that their mistake left me about $200 short. Lesson learned: Just because they are affiliated with "UCSD" doesn't mean you will get better service or care. I got the opposite of that.

From the moment my father and I stepped into this office we were treated amazing! From the front desk to Dawn (who my dad loved!) to Jon who took pics of my dads eyes. Everyone is so kind, knowledgeable and respectful. Then steps in Dr Ravage....AMAZING he did a complete thorough exam in which my dad commented that he never had an exam like that before...he looked at everything!! Top notch in my books. My dad is transferring from Florida and Dr Ravage already know everything about my dads condition upon entering the room, it was like we had seen him for years. COMPLETELY IMPRESSED BY THE ENTIRE OFFICE!!! My dad would give Dr Ravage 10 stars. So happy we found this office :)

I had my LASIK done about a year ago and cannot express what a great experience it was. Everything was seamless and easy. The staff was very informative and helpful in answering my questions. Day of surgery Dr. Donnenfeld talked me through the procedure which calmed my anxiety. I love waking up without glasses and during the summer I don’t have to deal with my contacts when I wear my sunglasses. Definitely wish I had done it sooner.

Everyone is really nice. On time with appointments. The only disappointment is the glasses I purchased. One side is more aligned to my face. The other side is bowed out. Don’t fit my face, have to keep moving them. After reading reviews and people with glasses issues, I’m not sure I want to bring up my issues. The doctors take their time with you.
