I have been a patient of Dr. Witmeyer for many years. She is by far the best, most caring and kind optometrist that I ever had!! Not only is she an outstanding doctor, she also takes time to explain in detail her diagnosis and her corrective action requirement without making me feel rushed. My husband is also Dr. Witmeyer's patient and regretfully, due to our moving out-of-state, we will not have the opportunity to continue seeing her. She will be truly missed!!! To find an optometrist of her caliber will be difficult to find!!

I have never had such a thorough, informative eye examination in all the many years I have visited many, many Opthalmologists, Retinal specialists and Optometrists. Dr. Witmeyer gave me more then a two hour exam. She informed me of many issues with my eyes that I had never been told before. I have followed the may suggestions for improvement of my vision and they have all worked!!! She is an expert in her field, personable and easy to talk to. I was very glad I saw Dr. Witmeyer, and I wished I had done so before. She is a credit to her practice and profession. Kudos to all the friendly and helpful support members of the staff at Carlsbad Optometry.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Witmeyer was very thorough and took plenty of time to listen and answer questions. Fitting for glasses went very smoothly. Very relaxing but professional atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Dr. Sung was amazing. I usually think eye appointments are somewhat of a chore, but she was so informative and kind. I really enjoyed my visit. I don't have vision insurance so this place was my saving grace for being only 129 for a contact and glasses exam!

Do not buy your glasses from this Costco vision center! Every pair of glasses purchased have been defective for the past 4 years I have purchased over 8 pairs all have been tossed in the trash! High end ones are not authentic! I have complained to Costco only to be advised that the Vision Center is independent not owned by Costco!

I’ve tried putting in contacts at another eye doctor before this. Then I tried twice here. My first experience here was good but I didn’t get it in. My second time, I had Minnie help me. She was super sweet and with her help, I was able to get them in pretty quick. If I was to ever go back, I’d specifically ask for her. She was amazing and I’m so glad I had her help!!

I want to say how extremely wonderful Sabrina in the Optical department has been. My glasses broke while I was out of town and she ordered new frames over the phone and had them in by the time I got home. She fixed them and got me back seeing again. She is absolutely the best.

I have been here three times today over the last 2 hours with the promise that someone will be here to help me. No one here and they are closed Sunday and Monday.

BEST Experience EVER!!! I cannot say enough good about the Manager of the Carlsbad location, Sabrina-Alexis Rabanzo. I love this girl, she is amazing!!! I now have to wear glasses for the first time in my life and I was frustrated after going to 6 other places and not finding what was right for me or an affordable price for me. Sabrina is not only honest, helpful, and pleasant, but she brings 17 years of knowledge to this location. Honestly, the very best experience I've ever had in purchasing something I wish I didn't need. I'm actually excited to get my new glasses now. I also want to mention that JC Penney offered the best prices and deals over any of the other places that I priced for glasses. This was such wonderful news since I live on a budget. I promise you, you must go to this location and ask for Sabrina. JC Penney, you've got a GREAT employee in her. She deserves a raise. She is nothing short of AMAZING!

I had been contemplating getting LASIK for most of my adult life, but the whole process made me nervous. Ultimately, the procedure was painless and the recovery time was minimal. I was surprised how quick it was and how soon I was seeing clearly. Dr. Chen and his staff were professional and informative throughout the process. It has been about 5 weeks and it is great to wake up seeing clearly and not have to deal with expensive and uncomfortable contacts ever again. I highly recommend Dr. Chen and North County Laser Eye Associates if you are considering ditching your glasses or contacts.

Getting lasik eye surgery done by Dr. Chen has been life changing in the best way. The surgery was so fast and my recovery was even faster. 2 days later and I was seeing 20/20 on my own. It’s been 3 months now since the surgery and I sometimes forget I even wore glasses for 20 years of my life. I couldn’t be happier with my experience .
