It was an awful experience. My 2 yo was referred to this place by main provider. Nobody would share a word about the vision issues my kid had. Copayment of 50 dollars was charged, when it should be 40 for specialist visits. Extra EXPENSIVE examinations are performed without consulting the parents. Expect an expensive bill without details on what they did. They charged 340 for one visit (after insurance!). It is ridiculous.

I give a star to be able to give my review but I don't give them any. the wait is terrible, more than 3 hours for them to attend to you, plus 1 more hour for them to tell you how the kids eyes
are. Terrible office. And we only see Dr. Sato for 2 min and wait for more than 2 hrs.

10/16/23 My experience with the doctors and purchasing my glasses was much better than my experience picking up my glasses. I found the woman who assisted me to be aloof and cared less about what I had to say did not offer to adjust my glasses in any way she didn't offer to clean them and I saw the other lady in the first area beside the receptionist doing those very things for the customer that she had and that customer did not have to ask. Maybe she didn't care. I had just spent $450 in there but it mattered to me that I can continue to receive the same excellent service that I had had when I spent my money. And this was the first time in the 10 or more years that I've been using America's Best that I've ever had a person giving me my glasses be so unfriendly.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! 1st time customer to top off. As soon as we walk threw that door, not even a welcoming greeting. Everyone one in a bad mood. All I hear is the optometrist yell in the background with an angry face "DO YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT!!" then followed by the receptionist who also appears to be in a bad mood asking us if we have an appointment because they don't do walk in. I let them know I don't have an appointment and if they can get 2 of us in for an eye exam, only. we can wait. They Said they can't do 2 only one and it won't be till 3 hours or next week. I just walked out because they made me feel that we were a burden to them just being there. Found that EYEMART was across the street and as soon as I Walked in, they greeted me right away walked me to the eye exam room and they took us right in. Made us feel so welcome. For those who read this, LEAVE THIS PLACE AND GO TO EYEMART ACROSS THE STREET!!

Slow service , twice I’ve had to call to remind them of different orders…
This is an update, this place is worse every time I call honestly, this is the worst service I’ve ever received anywhere. The staff feels like straight out of high school, like people that have never held a job in their life. I can’t wait to get my prescription so I never have to do business there again. When I have to call or go there I already know they are about to ruin my day. Would not recommend to anyone. 0 stars.

I had an eye exam here today and this has been the best exam I’ve ever had. The staff was great and friendly and very helpful. The eye doctor was extremely nice and very thorough and took the time to make sure I had the best prescription for my new glasses. I usually get nervous getting eye exams but I wasn’t nervous at all at my appointment.
I will definitely be coming back here and I recommend coming here to get an eye exam.

The Dr. inside the Tucson Sam's Club Optical is nothing short of egregious!!! The man was 2 hrs late (the others working in optical told me "he's ALWAYS late and makes no apologies, we just have to hear about it)" NO TRUER WORDS!!! When I was finally called back he would only acknowledge that, "yes, the appointment was 2 hours ago", he said it at least 3 times!! No, "I apologize" just spoke as of it was completely business as usual???
I think he may be mentally ill as I just got off the phone with him because my prescription is terrible for pm. driving...he blamed the store!! I reminded him that his office is only located inside Sam's Club, that's where his affiliation ends. He continued to use the word, "they", all self accountability completely out the window!!
I will never returned and intend to warn ALL my clients (I've been a cosmetologist in Tucson for 39 years, so I have a lot of people to warn)...NEVER use Sam's for optical!!!

I went to the optical departmentp, I had an appointment at 10:30AM, I arrived and checked in around 10:20 and the doctor did not arrive to sams club until 11:00 am. When he arrived he went in to his office and spent another 10-15 min there then finally told me to come in. The actual appointment took less than 10 min because it was the second appointment for contact lenses where he checked to make sure the contact was the correct fit and give the prescription. It was very very frustrating!!!

I had a reading glasses prescription. I had not used my VSP allotment for glasses in 2022. I went in December to see how much new reading glasses would cost at Sams since Sam's said they take VSP. I asked if they take VSP, I asked what my allowance was, & the woman told me which eyeglass frames & basic lenses would be covered. She verified what I would have to pay there for my frames and lenses. Since the price was reasonable, I agreed. I picked up my glasses in Dec 2022 after waiting on them for the week it took. Nothing was mentioned then about owing anything extra. Now it is the middle of march and I get a bill from Sam's saying I owe an additional amount because they failed to collect enough of my copay. Had I know this would be the total amount I never would have purchased them because I already knew I could get new glasses from another place cheaper. Now I am on continuous hold with the phone number on the bill. I will not pay this bill, I will write bad reviews, I will file a complaint about their misleading bait and switch.
