I have read some of the negative reports and think outside the box. First of all when dealing with the elderly it does take longer. Take in consideration they move slower and sometimes you may have to speak louder or repeat things. That’s what happens when you get older. And hopefully you will have a Dr like Dr. Conway who will take time with you when you get older. Knowing that there is a wait it is up to YOU to accommodate. And keep in mind when the Snowbirds are back in town the wait is long. No one likes to wait but if it is about whether you will keep your eye sight or not the wait is worth it. My husband is one of her younger clients and we watch the elderly come in and go. We don’t mind waiting. I worked in the ER for 20 years and was always amazed at how inconsiderate some people were when they had to wait if we were working on a trauma patient or full arrest. As I am flying by them getting some equipment or drugs needed I would say... stop it. If this was your loved one you would want our full attention in giving them the best care we can. So a wait time in an eye Dr’s office vs wait time in ER during a trauma or full arrest I think you would choose the wait time in Dr. Conway’s office. Thank you for your time.

The staff here is phenomenal, but there is a long wait. Horrible parking situation and insufficient waiting room seating made for a difficult experience with my 93 year old father in law. Would be 2 stars if not for the friendly and thorough staff.

0 stars I was not at all satisfied today. I arrived @10:10am for my 10:40am appointment. I checked in and sat and waited my turn. I saw people signing in after me get waited on before me. I went up to the desk @11:00 asking the receptionist when am I going to becall for my late appointment. She proceeded to say she knows but they are short of staff, as she was talking with me 4 or 5 techs where standing in back of her talking and laughing. I asked how much longer ( suggesting one of those young women could help me) the receptionist stated she didn't know but not much longer, mind you it's 11:15 40 minutes after my scheduled 10:40am appointment. I stated " I want to cancel this appointment, no wait a minute I will find another place with better customer service "...I did state to the receptionist that she didn't have a clue on want is good customer service is..because all she had to do was call me up to the desk and say" we are short of staff and you may have a wait...I would have understood..but to sit and see people go before you who just came in the door is very upsetting!!!! What happened to training staff on customer service??? I would not recommend this place after experiencing this type of treatment! I didn't even get"I'm sorry for any inconvenience you are experiencing since we are short of staff..NOTHING WAS SAID TO ME ALONG THAT LINE..CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! No Stars today!!

There's a sign that says "your arrival time is not your appointment time," which is accurate. My arrival time was 7:15am and my departure time was 9am. It was an intake appointment, which can take more time. The facility doesn't work with contact lenses, which was disappointing because I'm settled in and finally looking for a forever optical home, and I like this place. The assistants were very pleasant, which helped me feel comfortable. And the icing on the cake was this amazing doctor - they should teach his technique for "1 or 2" in optometry school. The doctor was efficient, extremely intelligent, thorough, discerning, and personable. He was a true professional doctor that is rare to experience in Arizona and definitely worth the wait. Thanks for a great eye glass appointment. Have a wonderful holiday season.

I was doing pretty good until someone named Stephanie came in. first, I was talking to the doctor. She came in, kept shaking her head all this other stuff and then went towards the door and grab the handle. And looked at me I said, do I need to leave. She said no no., and I said, are you trying to get me to leave. Then I ask questions about the prescriptions and getting a copy of the previous prescription. you could tell in her motions how angry she was not a good experience at all. Front decks was excellent. The person who checked my eyes before the doctor was excellent. And the doctor himself was. Was people like that I would be very shy Of advising this would be a good group. I asked for a copy of one of my medical records, and they said it would take two weeks. Are you kidding me lol it’s right on their computer. I signed and release of information.

The Sun City location is certainly better than the Surprise, Bell Road location. The staff at Sun City are more professional for sure. I would just advise better scheduling of people because it's a bit crowded (in both locations), and people like me who come on time with no insurance issues should not be penalized waiting as long to be done with our appointment. It stands to reason that if less people were scheduled for a doctor on a given day, the flow of patients would be much better.

Great place for eye care. If you need eyeglasses or contacts this is the place to go. Super friendly and each and every person who works there, makes you feel like you are the only patient they see.

I will address the staff first because I interacted with them first. I found the staff to be very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I was greeted immediately upon entering the building, and then spent minimal time in the waiting area, which, by the way, was lovely, very clean and cutely decorated. Dr. Toland very thoroughly explained what was going on with my eyes and was able to coach me as to what I needed to do to take care of them. I felt comfortable speaking with Dr. Toland and felt that all my questions and concerns were taken care of before I left the office.

The doctors and staff are very caring. The actual cataract surgery went very well, and the followup care was also outstanding. The only frustrating experience was the numerous times I had to repeat my insurance info for numerous people both at Dr. Suedekum's office and at the Scottsdale Surgery Center, due to the transition to an independent practice for Dr. Suedekum, and new software that had been installed. I probably had at least six phone calls relating to my insurance, several of them the day before my first surgery, which added to my anxiety. That being said, for eye care, I would definitely recommend Dr. Suedekum and his staff without reservation.
