Awesome Optometrist. Front desk staff were super quick and kind. Dr. Latter was excellent. She was patient and helpful when I had trouble with my contact fitting.

Don't bring your child here! The doctor is not qualified to work with children, she is very rough and forceful. She made my daughter cry after grabbing her hand for nervously scratching at her precious chair. Then after all of that, she refused to give my daughter a prescription for glasses. Stay far away!

Amazing staff, every single one I met or even overheard. Genuinely friendly and extremely knowledgeable and truly seemed to love their work. Never felt rushed or forgotten. I'm very impressed and not at all surprised with the great reviews here, they all sound like my experience and my family's.

Dr. Shomer deserves every bit of a five-star review. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. Having a pretty large sized chalazion removed from my eye was something I was understandably nervous about, but Dr. Shomer approached the entire process with such gentleness, care, and genuine compassion. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. During the procedure, his steady and delicate approach truly made a difference…I felt safe and well cared for throughout. It’s rare to find a doctor who combines such skill with such a kind and reassuring bedside manner. I’m incredibly gratefulr for the experience and would highly recommend Dr. Shomer to anyone needing care.

The doctor and her staff (those who did the exams/reports) are top of the line. Courteous, polite, friendly, accurate, professional, the best! Front Desk Receptionist...not as nice. Not rude, just not as friendly.

I recently went to get a yearly eye checkup. Front desk receptionist was very nice and had me fill out some paper work. I was promptly moved to a back room for some scans , technician was very kind and patient. Finally moved to another room …

I had no wait time at all. I love seeing the great selection of glasses and being in such a cool office. Dr. Bales is great and her staff is always professional and polite. This is by far my favorite place to go in Kansas City for all my eyecare needs.

Dr. Tang was very patient and thorough. I have astigmatism and in the past O.D. would never review my scripts if I said my vision was a little off. She tried a few times until my script was PERFECT! Thank you Dr. Tang! I'll see you next year.

Love this place. From the Exam to picking out what glasses worked for me was so easy. Each person was gracious and helpful especially as I am in a wheelchair. Derek imparticular helped me understand how my Insurance could get me the best frames and lens for me. His patience and professionalism was impressive. So grateful.
