Love this office, Dr See did in a year what Kaiser couldn’t do in years. Dr See treats his patients with kindness and answers any questions that I have thoroughly and in laymen’s terms. I highly recommend Ca. Retinal consultants.

I fell for the same scam 1 star reviewer Margot Lea mentioned 4 years ago. Maybe I misunderstood, but I was shown a concerning retina image as if it were mine (told there was irreversible problems). I said I hadn't even taken retina imaging yet from the other room, can we talk about mine when it's done. After being denied and having paid $25 extra for that supposed retina imaging, it had me worried my eyes were rapidly deteriorating, so I set up an appointment with an eye specialist who confirmed I was actually ok. Ultimately, this was a blessing for me because it made me get a full health checkup & opened my eyes to more eye doctors outside Walmarts.

My appointment was in April. It's June now. I haven't received my new glasses yet. I think next time, I'll eat the cost and just go back to America's Best. I would've had them by now. Also, at least AB's equipment doesn't break down while using it. Not a very disabled friendly environment either. The office is really small and needs an update. Up front staff and tech were great. The actual eye doctor however, wanted to get the appointment over with as soon as I sat down. Once I get my glasses, I'm not going back🫡 Update: I finally got my glasses. Another warning, the doors are really heavy going in. Head doc nor tech I worked with were there. I went up front and stated that I'm here for a pick-up, I'm usually soft spoken in front of stranger’s so I thought the woman behind the desk didn't hear me so I said it again. She very curtly replied "Sign-in". I did that and went to go sit down. There was only one other customer there. Before I got the chance to sit, another lady called my name🙄. They have a little floor ac, it was pretty cool. I wasn't going to be long anyway. Another lady pulled out the chair for me to look in the mirror which was nice. I forgot how cluttered the office was? Maybe they should give hoarders a call😬. I signed the confirmation form and left as soon as I could. Oh and if you’re wondering, No, they don't recycle frames Like I said, I'm not going back there🫡 Good Luck everyone! 11/4/23 LAST UPDATE: Hey, so I had my glasses for three months and realized that I didn't have to adjust to them. I went back to America's Best as soon as I got the chance. Turns out the optometrist here gave me the same perception that I had two year's ago! Go to America's Best if you can, avoid this place! I can actually see now... properly, got my glasses a week after my appointment

Dr. Scott Nelson is beyond WONDERFUL! I have also seen other doctors who were compassionate, patient, empathetic, and knowledgeable! The receptionist are FANTASTIC! They went above and beyond in providing my brother with quality and exceptional patient care. I am eternally grateful to Eye Surgery Center for taking excellent care of me and my family.

I enjoyed meeting Dr Kubota. Not only was she super nice but extremely knowledgeable and caring and took the time to explain my scans and test results and answered all my questions. I felt like I was getting 5 star treatment. Thank you Dr Carrie

Because I could not afford glasses and my insurance would only pay for either contacts or glasses, I was belittled by Dr. Orr and told if you would stop buying Starbucks and purses maybe you could afford glasses.

Always happy with the experience here! From the ladies at the front desk, to the nurse, to Dr. Hansen, they are all polite and efficient. Highly recommend!!

From the time I made an appointment with a staff person, through the duration of my appointment, I would rate the UCI Gavin Herbert Eye Institute as world class. The staff is so welcoming and professional- at all levels . My physician, Dr. V. Patel, was very helpful, and extremely thorough. Conveyed instructions very carefully. I had a great deal of confidence, in his diagnosis. The facility is very open, and a lovely setting.

Tori and Dr. Bei Zhang really seemed to enjoy their work. They were very helpful and very knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything and Tori went out of her way to answer all question, even considering ones I didn’t think to ask! She also helped with the price breakdown and helped me figure out what would work best with my insurance- definitely a go-to destination for eye care!
