DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER VISITING THIS PLACE. The absolute WORST place to have your eyes tested for glasses or contacts. I decided to try this place for my new prescription, which was a HUGE mistake. To begin with, the front desk staff has no idea what they are doing. They schedule appointments for multiple people at once and scramble to get them all in order. The prescription they gave me right after the eye exam differed from the prescription for the trial lenses. I asked if I could use this prescription to buy contacts elsewhere, and they said yes. But now I'm not sure which is correct. Front staff is so confused and incompetent that they don't know what they're doing. They take a lot of time just to figure small things out which looks so unprofessional especially in a the medical field. They are doing sham of a job and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this place for the prescription.

Where do I start...oh they damaged my glasses! This is my second time at this location and it was not a good experience. I'm not sure how...but the girl helping me scratched my lenses/coating. I use progressive lenses so for those that don't know they are not cheap (over $400 for lense alone)! They have multiple zones of prescription for read, near and far site. When the girl took my glasses to check the prescription strength on their machine she gifted me with two scratches or scuffs on the insides on my lenses(see attached photos). If these weren't noticeable or out of my site line it might get a pass...but they are near the center bottom of the lenses towards the inside and run up and into the center of the lenses. These being progressive lenses means that when I try to read I am hit with blurry spots in my vision.🙄🤦‍♂️ Their "district managers" solution to this was to give me my money back for my visit and give me a discount on my next visit. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I have insurance so there solution is basically to do NOTHING! I told Stephanie (their district manager) how does this fix my lenses?...it doesn't at all! This office has 2 employees that should be let go too. The one girl didn't know what she was doing or was just lazy and not paying attention. She mixed up my wife's file and chart information with my daughters...I guess she has no concept of date of births and age...because my wife is 47 and my daughter is 23! This same girl also had to have someone else come in because she didn't know how to do her job including the most basic step of sanitizing the equipment. Another girl looked like she just crawled outta bed. Her hair was everywhere like a rat nest. I was trying to figure out...did she just crawl outta bed or did she actually style it that way. My wife put that question in my mind to rest when she told me the girl was sleeping in the room...it had a glass wall and she saw her sleeping. One of the other worked tapped on the glass and she jolted awake and the work just walked away shaking her head. If you go here do yourself a favor and take good pictures of your items BEFORE handing them off. And please make sure you see them sanitize the equipment. I mean we're still in this Covid Pandemic and for them to not clean up the equipment when your literally pressing your face and eyes up to this stuff is not ok.

I cannot say enough about my experience at the Eye Surgery Center. The staff runs like a well-oiled machine: efficient, thorough, informative, yet with a personal connection that didn’t make me feel like just a number. Plus they were cheerful. Dr. Pasternak is a man dedicated to his profession and at the top of his game. His confidence is contagious. Everything about this place far exceeded my expectations, including the results of my surgery.

Dr. Kurup is amazing with my autistic, currently non speaking son. His check in staff was not accommodating. We typically have two parents come in, one who checks in and one who brings in my son once the doctor is ready. It’s written in our patient notes and I tried to explain this to the woman , April, checking us in but she went right in to “hospital policy,” and kept repeating herself without listening. She started hospital policy doesn’t allow this type of accommodation which I find to be incredibly insensitive to children with autism. They need special accommodations and this staff person was not willing to listen or check my son’s notes. Thankfully all other staff was accommodating and did everything they could to help us.

I bought an eyeglass repair kit from your vision center recently. I took it home and try as I may I was unable to repair my glasses. I went back the next day and Alexander Cardenas waited on me. She not only repaired my glasses but cleaned the glasses for me. I felt that was above and beyond what she needed to do. Her attitude was kind and caring, so much that I thought it warranted a review.
