i was totally blind when i came here and now i can see out of both eyes.they were Nice and i woul recommend them to anybody.

Why didn't we come here first? We went to 2 other well-known stores and there was no comparison. Ashley who helped us was amazing. Havings someone who is knowledgeable, patient, professional, and genuine engaged in helping you makes it such an enjoyable experience.

Appointment was for a yag procedure. Just before such was to be done, there was no notice to this effect which probably led to slight movement. Since that time, two years ago, a large brownish blob has floated around the eye especially when driving..nice..This cold indifference is the reason for this review.. More than due diligence is needed when it is time for making a decision for ANY type of eye surgery. Simply do your personal research concerning eye surgery in general. You will find it is not good.

great customer service by the receptionists! the doctor was super friendly during my eye exam. I really hate going to the Eye Doctor and have not gone since 2017, but they made this appointment super quick & easy. will definitely come back for future exams :)

I recently moved to the Charleston area and was in need of an optometrist. Ocean Eye came up on Google as the closest location with a rating of 4.8 stars. I filled out my paperwork and was quickly brought in for a comprehensive eye exam. They are very thorough. I’ve been wearing glasses and contacts for 39 years. I know professionalism when I see it. The staff was friendly and polite as well as the doctor and eye glass technician. They accept most major insurances and have a good selections of frames as well. My comfort level was high and that’s a good thing.They take good care of their patients from examination right up to receiving your new glasses or contacts. You won’t be disappointed. The doctors and staff are amazing! I have difficult eyes to correct due to an eye injury years ago. Their patience in working with me to get the most comfortable fit and best correction possible was greatly appreciated.

I was able to schedule an appointment very quickly and convenient for my schedule. The doctor was very professional and knowledgeable, taking time to do a thorough evaluation of my eyes, then discussing the options completely. Very pleased with the whole process.

Dr. Brantley is a fantastic person, let alone a fantastic Doctor and Specialist. For over 20 years, I dealt with the diagnosis of Keratoconus, a degenerative corneal disease that had me go blind (20/450!) in both eyes and struggle through surgery after surgery and 100s of lenses to try to bring back my vision. I gave up on ever seeing again (from 2018 to 2021) until I randomly decided to do some research and delightedly found Dr. Brantley. I called the office and the Doc answered! (This is how much he cares and takes seriously the gift he has for helping others!). We spoke, I had my 200 page medical history records sent to him for review and Doc took me on as a patient. WELL, our first visit was fantastic. As I mentioned, Doctor Brantley is a wonderful human being that truly cares for others. Doc did some initial tests and measurements, then had me come back a few days later after having interpreted the results. TURNS OUT, I’ve been incorrectly diagnosed and treated for the last 20+ years with Keratoconus when in reality, I have PMD (Pellucid Marginal Degeneration of the cornea)! After Doctor Brantley found the correct root cause of my problems, he quickly found THE solution in using highly specialized scleral lenses that restored my vision to 20/15! I was blind before I met the Doc, and within about 1.5 weeks, I could see my wife and children clearly for the first time EVER. Doctor Brantley is an INCREDIBLE person, doctor, and artist with what he does and I am so grateful to have found him and have had him restore my vision and bless me with a better quality of life than I’ve dealt with for the last 20+ years. I've been coming here for over 20 years and it's over of the most friendly and personable places that you can find to get your eye care done. I take my entire family here for eye checkups and get new glasses. Their frame selection is varied and I would like to see more choices available but if you know what look you are going for you can show them and they can find something similar or order it for you. You can drop in and get your glasses adjusted or fixed. The staff is one of the greatest assets to this place and they are so friendly and know how to take care of you. The doctors are super nice as well and will take care of your eyes and suggest what you need.

So excited to see Dr. G and his great staff back in action! The office looked amazing when I walked in & I got the same quality and service I've always received from this team. Special thanks to Ray and Julie for taking the time to truly understand my wants and needs with my frames and finding me just the right pair without being pushy or up selling me. Can't wait to go back and pick up my frames and look at their new sunglasses too!
