My cataract surgery/glaucoma therapy was an exceptional experience. I had virtually no waiting time and the front office staff, the nurses, anesthesiologist and Dr. Bowen were outstanding and very professional. The procedure was an elegant example of state of the art medicine. The results thrilled me beyond words. I wish I had not put it off. Colors are beautiful again and my sight is clear. Thank you all. In Jan. of 2022 my optomistrist told me the dry AMD in my right eye was starting to turn wet. She suggested I see a retinal specialist. I had three appointments with very professional specialists and they started the injections. Soon after my third injection a-family member Who is a medical professional suggested I go to Dean McGee. My first doctor was nice and had an impressive resume. He gave me no feedback whatsoever. After one year of injections I asked to be transferred to a doctor with better patient communications. When the appointment arrived I waited two hours. When I met the doctor he seemed perturbed and most of his replies were cryptic. He checked my eyes and told me to come back in six months which he later changed to three months. I had been getting injections every six weeks so obviously I was curious. No explanation was offered. I am very concerned about my sight, but have no idea about my future.

I have a complex vision issue that Dr Oku helped me with. About 13 years ago I suffered a retinal detachment in my right eye. It was treated with a scleral buckle requiring prism lenses to compensate for the alignment change caused by the buckle. As time passed, I developed cataracts which required minor periodic prescription adjustments. Dr Oku had been providing these adjustments without issue for the last 3 years – until I moved out of state. This year I had cataract surgery on the right eye, and that’s when the problem began. While the cataract surgery itself went well, neither of the local optometrists nor an ortho-ophthalmologist I have seen since has been able to prescribe corrective lenses that work for me. Desperate for a workable solution, I contacted Dr Oku for advice on what to do next. Because I am three time-zones away, I couldn’t expect much -- perhaps a referral or some reference information. I got much, much more. Dr Oku spent considerable time on the phone and via email assessing my difficult situation and working to find a solution—which she did find. Thanks to her extraordinary efforts, my vision is restored. I now have both distance and reading glasses that give me crisp vision and are comfortable to wear. From 2,500 miles away, she was able to do what the local experts could (or would) not do. The fact that she was willing to work so hard on my behalf is a testimony to her commitment to her patients. I am extremely grateful for her help and wish all my doctors could show that level of commitment.

Mel, at Walmart vision center is the most gentle, professional and accommodating employee I've ever felt with. Her kindness and problem solving quality gave me hope in humanity. Mel, you should be acknowledged by your superiors for your great heart and professionalism. You are the best! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for fixing my issue right on the spot.

Working with Dr. Borodkin was quick and easy. I recently had to get reading glasses for the first time and the process quick and the process to select the perfect frame took about 30 seconds. They had exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again. I will be back.

First time visit here and it was very unpleasant to say the least. The technician who did the exam was great he clearly understood the assignment. However I cannot say the same for Dr. Barbour once I was in the office with her which was not even 5 minutes, she took a look at my eyes and said that we need to take care of removing the film ( pterygium) on my eyes and she asked if I had any questions and before I could ask her what about the procedure for removing the film or even how it’s done she quickly ushered me to the technician for getting glasses to which I had already told her that I was not purchasing any glasses today. She made no mention about scheduling me to come back in to have the procedure done. So I left feeling that she Dr. Barbour didn’t won’t to be bother. This was by far the biggest disappointment and a huge waste of my time.

Dr. Lim is very thorough and caring. She took the time to discuss different options and solutions that would best fit my lifestyle. Her front office staff were very efficient and helpful.
