After reading all the reviews here on google, I was skeptical about going to this place, but I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised, the manager, staff and doctor was very courteous and helpful. The doctor was patient with me in the eye exam making sure I had the correct magnification, was back and forth with the different lenses on the machine to see which one I can see the best with. When deciding on what type of features to add on the prescription lenses, the manager was very helpful informing me what the benefits are for each add-on. I told them that I wanted to use my current frames instead of getting new frames and they said there was no problem with that. I did not feel any sales pressure from anybody there, just mere suggestions of what would interest me. One interesting note is that in the previous place I went for prescription glasses, I had to leave my current glasses if I wanted to reuse the frames, but here they told me I can bring them the day the lenses come in and they would be fitted in one hour. Waiting for the lenses to come in and hopefully a happy camper, there nothing like seeing crystal clear.

Dr. Bold's office is the most dishonest, untrustworthy business. All they care about is overcharging and making as much profit as they can. Trust the other negative reviews. Do not go to Dr. Bold in Newport or La Palma.

Constantly extends treatment to less frequent when conditions permit.

As a nurse I needed goggles that would fit comfortably over my glasses. I reached out to Victor who listened intently and understood exactly what I was looking for. I purchased COCOONS. These were amazing! It fit my general needs for wound care and are very comfortable. They are very stylish and come in different designs. All my coworkers ask me about them! I’m also a hobbiest at home and these definitely fit my needs. I have always used Meleti optical even out of state. I have never been let down. I will always be a loyal customer. Not your typical Optometrist! This used to be a different Ootomettist business 8n the Walmart vision Center. This Doctor just opened his practice here & replaced a previous business. Awesome Doctor with great service & equipment.

I have been a patient of Coastal Bend Eye since 2017 when I had an emergency eye issue. They treated me right away and with the friendliest staff and doctor. I have my annual exams done very year and they continue to shine…..very friendly along with being the best.
