The front desk staff were shockingly rude and extremely unprofessional. As soon as they heard me speaking Mandarin, they switched to Cantonese and started making negative comments about me to each other right in front of my face. Just because I don’t speak Cantonese fluently doesn’t mean I can’t understand what you’re saying. That behavior is disrespectful and completely inappropriate. This is a healthcare facility. Patients come here because they are not feeling well and deserve to be treated with basic human decency. Instead, the front desk staff act like they’re annoyed that patients even exist. What’s worse is that this wasn’t just directed at me. I watched them treat other patients with the same cold, dismissive attitude. No greeting, no empathy, just a constant sour expression and zero sense of professionalism. If you choose to work in healthcare, the bare minimum is to treat patients with respect. Unfortunately, the front desk here seems to have forgotten that completely.

I have been going to Dr. Gonzalves at Midtown Optometric Group for many years. The facility is clean, the customer service is unmatched, and the personal care, concern and professionalism Dr. Gonzalves provides keeps me going back. Highly recommend.

Best experience I ever had at an Optometrist office. What a great atmosphere and the staff were super congenial. The service was excellent. Latoya, the manager was amazing...incredibly knowledgeable. Ethan took great care to make sure my daughter got the frames she wanted, and Dr. J.S. was very purposeful in making sure I thoroughly understood the explanation of the diagnosis.

My adult daughter, on the autism spectrum, visited Riverside Family Eye Care, and she was very happy with her visit. The office is inviting and well kept, she was comfortable for her appointment and liked the employees. She is super excited to pick up her new glasses Wednesday.
