Dr. Considine is very personable. She takes the time to diagnose, understand your condition, and provide the best treatment possible. I’ve seen her a handful of times over the past six months due to conjunctivitis and dry eyes. It’s always a pleasure to see her and she makes me feel confident that my eyes will continue to improve and feel more comfortable as time goes on. I’ve been to other eye doctors and it’s no comparison to Northern NJ Eye Institute. I would highly recommend Dr. Considine, specifically.

This is a very conflicted review because, on one hand, the medical care is excellent. I would send my parents here if they needed serious medical eye care. On the other hand, I have never been to the office when it did not take 3 hours for a 30 minute eye appointment. Many of us are working professionals, parents, or simply people who cannot devote an entire afternoon to wait for a routine eye exam. It's an administrative shortcoming that could be simply resolved by booking people with realistic treatment windows. If you can't see someone until 3pm, don't book their appointment for 1pm. I saw them chastise someone for being 10 minutes late, while I was (and they were) expected to wait over two hours. It's just not practical, and it's unfortunate, because it's a great medical facility. If you are in need of serious medical eye care, are a retiree, or simply can wait an entire afternoon, absolutely go here. If you just need a check-up, this is not necessarily the best choice.

She is a very kind doctor. I saw her as my regular doctor, Dr. Crane, had to cancel his appointments. I highly recommend Northern NJ Eye Institute overall - efficient and friendly staff.

Dr. Salzano was very friendly, professional, and patient with my 8 year old. My son was experiencing double vision from a prior prescription from another optometrist 6 months ago and Dr. Salzano prescribed a new prescription for him. Thank you so much for your service. Blessings.

Front desk staff were very accommodating. Every effort was made to get me on the schedule to see the doctor. Danielle was super efficient, and extremely helpful in assisting me with my insurance. Doctor Salzano was very knowledgeable and thorough. His diagnosis was spot-on. He quickly diagnosed my problem and sent me to a retina specialist for more extensive testing and treatment. He took his time with me and listened to my concerns. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful service with a fantastic staff. Dr. Salvano performed a checkup on my 11yr old daughter for contact lenses- he was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. His staff was helpful on all fronts but they were especially accommodating and patient teaching my daughter to put in her contacts for the first time. Despite not being able to do it in her first session, Dr. Salvano allowed us to return for three more sessions. My daughter was finally able to do it by herself in the last session and now she's practically an expert. I highly recommend Dr. Salvano and his entire team.

My whole family has been going to Dr. Salzano for several years. We have highly recommended him to many people. The staff is always friend and helpful. Dr. Salzano is very patient, kind and thorough.

Went for the first time yesterday and was certainly impressed by how great Dr. Salzano and his staff treated me. My family recommended him and I am so glad. Dr. Salzano sent me home with a care package of samples to help treat the stye developing on my eye. I’ve gone to different eye doctors and none have ever gone above and beyond to help me out. Within one day my eye looks better already! He is very gentle and well spoken. Will never go to anyone else. Thank you doc !

I'm so glad I found Dr. Salzano. His staff are super friendly and very accommodating. They took time to explain my benefits and got me an appointment right away. He's very kind and patient and took his time with me. I didn't feel rushed like most doctors do to people. I would definitely recommend him to all my family and friends.

Dr. Chen is very knowledgeable and helpful and explained things that no one else cared to tell me. He took time to listen to my concerns about myself and my daughter. We've had challenges pinpointing the issues with my daughter for years, with over a dozen Drs in 4 states, but he helped us find a simple solution and also referred her to a neurologist for dyslexia testing. I am so thankful because she is improving and has more confidence. He truly cares about helping his patients. Making and scheduling appointments can be improved, however. I know it's difficult to find reliable staff these days.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Chen. He made me feel at ease about my condition, explained everything, and answered my questions. We have a tentative plan for care and that made me feel very secure while being treated by him. Would highly recommend!
