Extremely thorough examination! Dr. Merrill presents as knowledgeable yet friendly. Highly recommend him and his staff.

The Dr. is great and knowledgeable. Unfortunately as of late the office staff has been getting very snippy. I walk out their door feeling like I am the inconvenience to their day. This is for the upstairs eye doctor.

Extremely good Drs and Staff ! Always honest and helpful always,great care. Dr Eng has been a great Eye Dr for a long time here in Santa Maria and Dr Chris is equally amazing! He works so well with kids who's been seeing him for a few years now. It makes a big difference when the ppl care and are fam oriented. Also they will help you get the better price for your budget ! Which is always a plus when you truly need it. Thank you for your outstanding care ! We so appreciate it and wouldn't change my son's care for anything!

I’ve been seen for my eyes and dental work at this place for years! Since I was a teen. It’s always been a pleasure! Very professional, caring, outstanding service. I have always recommended family and friends. Absolutely great service.

The only stars they will get is because of Dr Alford cause he was simply amazing but the front desk staff are horrible ! Trying to make me feel like I’m crazy for them not doing a proper consultation with me. Now I’m stuck with glasses I can’t even use ! One day I can get the refund and the other day I can’t. When asked about their return policy they can’t find it cause they don’t have one written at all! The lady is trying to get my refund yet is telling me she’s gonna let cen cal know that I’m returning them because I don’t like them !! Not true !!! I’m returning because they are use less !!!

1st call I noticed a large attitude as I kindly made an appt.. then I show up ans the lady tells me I can't be seen because I didn't confirm my apt.. but she was rude from the moment I walked in. It's sad when miserable.ppl work in a setting where the should be kind and use manners yet their misery is radiating them. I said that's fine I'll go elsewhere Called Dr sudek and got treated literally like a real human as I should. COMPLETE different experience. The OFFICE has Horrible vibes even worse front desk lady named ESTER. SMILE ESTER TRY BEING POLITE YOUR RUDENESS IS UGLY AS EVER. HAVE A BLESSDD DAY. I WILL Very bad and unpleasant and unprofessional experience because of Ester. I will never go back and I hope if you like to be treated fairly you dont go either. *****Also no recent texts were sent letting me know i need to confirm nor call. Which is what she said. Waste of time and effort.

I have CenCal Health as well as a separate vision insurance with my job because CenCal doesn’t cover contacts. Came here because my previous optometrist retired and recommended this place but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Staff was nice when I came in but then when I let slip that I had an eye exam for contacts at Walmart vision center just a few days prior (with my work insurance) the lady asked “why are you even here then?” and treated me like I was wasting their time. I didn’t even get to finish the paperwork before they escorted me out. Idk maybe she was just having a bad day but I still don’t think that’s any way to treat patients, especially new ones.

Dr. Mullikin is down to earth and caring in addition to being a very good eye doctor. I always get top-notch service at his office and real-world advice about how to best care for my eyes without breaking the bank. Highly recommend him at Sears Optical in Santa Maria! The whole staff is awesome, btw.

Dr Dirksen as well as all the staff were very professional and accommodating. Dr was very easy to talk to and explained everything quite well. I highly recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Class is incredibly thorough and professional yet has a calming, friendly demeanor. I was incredibly impressed by him, as I usually see Dr. Sherman, who is also excellent. Support staff is great, too!

Staff & doctor were friendly & professional; but my 10:45 appointment was delayed by one hour. Not sure what happened; the dr apologize for delay.
