I had an excellent experience at my eye appointment at the Eye Care Center. Went straight to an examination room where a Tech proceeded to gather info. Tests were performed and Dr Zikes came in to review the status and discuss steps for continuous improvement. Very professional operation with comfortable treatment.

The first couple of times I went into Spectacles four years ago, I received very good service. I had gone in there because my previous optician had sold me prescription sunglass lenses that developed scratches. The owner/optician at Spectacles assured me that he would have replaced them had those lenses been his store's. A year and a half later, my new prescription sunglass lenses from Spectacles developed similar scratches! When I brought them in to be replaced, the same owner/optician not only refused to replace them but screamed at me!! I later found out that the sunglass lenses they use at Spectacles should only be used for children's sunglasses because scratches happen so often. I now use a reputable optician who uses telescope type glass that is tinted throughout the glass. Lesson Learned: Don't give this optician your business!

I had an excellent experience with my first Grand Rapids Ophthalmology visit. The staff was extremely friendly and very professional. I definitely appreciated Dr. Wilke. He made sure that I understood the tests and the applicable results. I didn’t feel rushed and I walked out of the office reassured in the status of my vision today and in the days to come.

The most excellent eye doctor. I have been to many over the years and this is the best. I make the trip back here from across town after moving away. The staff is very nice too.

Dr. Harper is extremely rude and unprofessional. The first time I went he was extremely abrasive and I just thought maybe it was his style or he was having a bad day. Went back again for a concern I have- to which I was brushed off and he said " We were also misled to believe this was an emergency so there's nothing else I can do" And then stood up to walk out of the room. He was in there with me for no more than 30 seconds. Nowhere in my call to set up the appointment did I say it was an emergency or in my speaking with the nurse did I say it was an emergency. Do not recommend at all and I most certainly will not be back. Come to find out somebody somewhere messed up in my appointment was not taken correctly. When I called to try to straighten it out I was met with nothing but rudeness and animosity. As well as it being implied that I lied about an emergency to get an appointment. I made this appointment 4 days ago. I have the time stamp in my call log from when I called and made the appointment. The office manager there continued to say that I made the appointment this morning and they were kind enough to squeeze me in. Which was a total lie. Something somewhere got messed up and they will not even attempt to find where it is. Their solution was just to get rude and continue to blame me for something that was not my fault.

Dr. Lebow is professional and thorough. Her staff people were great. ...but I've been waiting three months for my contacts to come in, and they haven't arrived yet. I paid $79 out of pocket for a contact prescription, and they refuse to give it to me as the doctor is on vacation for two weeks, and no other doctor can sign off on giving me my prescription that will be expiring in 21 months. Also, the phone number listed on their website and on their Google listing is wrong. It directs me to their Forbes Ave. location.

Dr Phil and his staff do a wonderful job of creating a fun and welcoming environment. My first appointment with him was to fix a misdiagnosis given by another optometrist. Since then he's helped solve my dry eye issues and has continuously monitored an underlying condition that would otherwise cause me a lot of stress. I continue to recommend this practice to friends because every person I've sent in has had a wonderful experience.

Dr. Wongs is a wonderful physician. He is extremely knowledgeable, takes time to explain things, and is personal and friendly! When I had my cataract surgery - each eye done 2 weeks apart, he made a "game time" decision for the 2nd one that was an extra step and made a big difference for me! I'm so grateful for him, his expertise, and his care!
