This review is LONG overdue. I’ve been coming to Acuity Eye Group for some time now and I wouldn’t go elsewhere if they paid me. I’ve always been treated great, promptly and everyone I’ve encountered has been amazing. That says a lot for someone that is EXTREMELY picky with my doctors/eye care and purchases of prescription glasses. I tend to overthink my decisions but I can always count on the staff especially Christian (i believe that’s his name). He has so much patience and understanding and always sets me up with an amazing pair or two! Definitely recommend this facility for your optical needs.

The doctor is nice but the business isn't run very well. You guys didn't run my insurance so I was charged the full amount instead of the 15$ co-pay. I tried calling several times and the voicemail box is full. I reached out to Acuity eye group and they sent an email but their billings department can't do anything. PLEASE contact me to fix the issue. Thanks!

The only reason why I’m giving one star was because my mom went to an appointment last week for her check up since she had eye surgery. My mom had her appointment at 1 PM. They arrive there early. My mom was in waiting room for almost one hour my sister went to talk to them asking the front desk what was going on the how come my mom wasn’t been called. The front desk person ask my sister what was my moms name after she told them 4 times what my mom name was. We are very disappointed that they waited for almost an hour to be called.

Super kind staff and doctors (dr. Kim was amazing!) Moved quickly and efficiently even though they were super busy. Clearly explained insurance benefits and coverage. Very excited to have a great optometrist so close to home

Dr. Chen is a phenomenal doctor. He managed my mother's glaucoma for over a year. My disappointment is towards the staffs in this office. When we requested my mom's refill prescription, they always gave us false promises to the point that they stressed out my mom for almost 3 weeks. I'm not surprised that my mother's eye pressure is high. The staff lacks communication, lack organization, lack of time management, and lack of conflict resolution towards the patients. For 3 weeks we tried to refill the prescription, we had been calling back and forth to the office and pharmacy, as per the pharmacist "we need to contact the doctor's office for authorization". We had been calling the office too and as per Ann and Irene, their "office lead Yanik processed it already". I even called my mother's insurance and as per insurance " no one requested authorization for this medication and there is no way that this medication will not be approved, we can use the other generic, but the doctor's office doesn't submit any paperwork" My only hope is, this conflict will not happen again. I understand that there is a shortage of a nurse, medical assistant and case managers, clinical manager, and office lead. I'm a nurse and a case manager too. But I made sure I don't give my patients and their families stress over their run-out medications. I made sure that I process their "authorization or prior authorization for new medications before their medication is finished." We missed Cathy, she is very tenacious and she keeps her promises towards the patients and family.

Terrible if you’re looking for a seamless experience or quality customer service. This place was recommended by a friend and I took an appointment one week in advance. On the day of the appointment I had an emergency and was running 15min late. Rather than rushing and going for no reason I called to apologize and confirm that was fine. I was told it wasn’t an issue. I rushed, showed up shortly after, put money in the parking meter to be told at the door that no, in fact, 15min is too late. Needless to say they lost my business. Very poor customer service and did not even apologize... I highly recommend Dr. Cecilia Perez in DTLA. Great experience there: they had availability (not within a week), were very professional, competent and have affordable rates.

Weird vibes from Dr. Kurata. He talked down towards me when I was just politely asking normal follow-up questions as to why he was weakening my contact prescription. Additionally, the contact lens fitting fee was something I did not anticipate as I have never been charged one at my previous eye doctors. He then condescendingly talked down on my previous doctors for not doing things the same way he does. I kind of went here out of convenience but should have probably thought twice.

Wow! What a wonderful experience. I've worn glasses since age 7 an now in my late 50's I've finally found the perfect location. Not only is arranging an appointment a snap (on the Internet) but the office is quite charming and they provide free snacks and excellent coffee ;-) I found the staff to be pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. Last, but in no way least, I was extremely impressed with Dr. She provided an excellent exam, answer all my questions and made suggestion based on my exam not on the hope of a sale. They've made a customer for life.

STAFF here underperformed compared to other Optometrist within the Korea Town community. Appointments are not what they seem like. Took me 1 hour to see Dr. Nam, and I was out the door close to 1:45 hours. I scheduled an appointment and waiting patiently for 1 month. Excellent Doctor with an unprofessional staff personnel.

Very rude and dangerous doctor. Stears patients toward money-making treatments. He treated my mom with laser without informing side effects. She drove home after treatment and got into an accident because of severe glares and side effects. No one in the office or doctor told her not to drive or need someone to drive her. She went back and complained and replied back "Than live like that rest of your life". Rude and unprofessional.
