My wife had an eye irritation. She called Dr. Clark. He worked her in that day. He prescribed a medication that cost $500. He felt that was way too much and then found a generic. Later while my wife was at the pharmacy he called her with a coupon for the generic, so the final price was $40. Bottom line Dr Clark is great and goes the extra mile for his patients.

Great experience. Kenia was extremely helpful. She help me set up a payment plan to get the glasses I want it, so I didn't leave the doctors office without anything. I'll be coming back here for years and bringing back my family.

This was my first appointment with AVOC, and my first time meeting Dr. Clark. I felt so comfortable and really well cared for! I’ve not had terrible -not great, but not terrible- experiences, so I thought! This office and their staff really set the bar for basic human care, let alone medical services. Beyond grateful for the team I met today! Thank you all so much!

Absolutely the worst. Never answers the phone you just get voice mail and they never returns call. Three phone call and no response. Been waiting for weeks for my contacts and can not get a status.

Customer service has started to decline in certain areas but there’s a gentleman named Dr. Tarek Mohana who needs to hold courses at all Costco stores. Businesses are in business to make money. If a business is about to close in ten to fifteen minutes and one turns away a customer, that’s not a good business practice. Along with losing that customer’s business money is also being lost. Dr. Mohana appears to understand the practicalities of business. He understands the term “ going above and beyond “. The service that I received with Dr. Mohana of Special Eyes Optometry was five star ⭐️ just like at a five star restaurant. I highly recommend Dr. Tarek Mohana.

I have macular degeneration, and I need monthly injections in my eye. This place, which supposedly is a retina specialist clinic, have only one doctor that can give eye injections, and he only works one day a week. I got a call today from the Institute saying he’s changing his schedule, and will only be working one day a month in the future. Now they are trying to hire another doctor that can give the eye shots back to a once-a-week schedule. But until they get him, now I have to wait 2 more weeks past my next appointment to get my next injection. I was told that timing is critical when needing to have these injections, and 6 weeks between appointments is not good. To anyone needing eye injections, this is not a good place to go. I now have another complaint. I needed to renew my California driver's license, but because of my eye situation, I needed to submit a form to the DMV signed by my eye doctor. At the Institute, they told me at my appointment that a doctor would need to fill out the paperwork I gave them after my appointment, and they would notify me when I could pick it up. (they won't mail these). About 5 days after my appointment, I get the call saying it is ready for me to pick up. I then drove 45 minutes (I live in Tehachapi) to get it on a Tuesday, and the office can't find it. So they have me sign a duplicate form, and they said they would have the doctor that comes in on Friday complete it with his signature, and they would make an exception to their policy, and mail it to me, since I drove all that way without being able to get it. Problem is, it's now two weeks after that Friday, and I still have not received it in the mail. My complaint is that they seem incompetent at times.

This was my first visit to Acuity. The front desk staff was very friendly as well as Dr. McGraw's assistant. Not a long wait at all. Dr. McGraw is very nice and he explained everything that was going on very thoroughly. Nothing serious. I highly recommend this practice. The whole experience from the time I walked in until the time I left was excellent!

I was so impressed with the staff and Dr. Scotti I miss read my appt. date and showed up two days early. They offered to see me if I could be patient. Worked perfectly! Never felt rushed! I will let all my contacts know how great my experience was. Thanks again

I had an end of the day exam, it was around 5:20 on Friday 12/1 & the two sales Reps were very nice and welcoming and assisted me. When i went to take the first part of the exam, the girl who was helping me was rushing me and not being thorough with the instructions. I have been a customer and have done business with this office for years and so has my family so i understand the system, but things always change which is why I would have appreciated proper instruction on what to do instead of assuming I already knew. When it came to Dr. Kim she started to rush me even worse and was pretty rude which made my demeanor go down and I can tell she was very impatient because she wanted to go home. I don’t even think this eye exam was an honest one meaning because both parts were so rushed that i’m not confident the proper prescription is in place and that’s not something I want to be wrong about. These are my eyes and i need to see comfortably so more than likely i will be taking my business elsewhere and my family will as well. I understand wanting to go home at the end of the day and everyone is tired, we all have lives but that is no way to handle business. I made it a priority to come in to my appointment right after work and I commute 2 hours away, but i would not use that as an excuse to cover up not treating people accordingly so rushing to get home should not be an excuse either.
