Rule Eye Care Associates has always given me great personal service. I walk in and I am greeted by my name. They are honest with telling me if I should order new glasses or not. I have a difficult lens correction, my eyes horizontally are not even and I see double. Highly recommend.

They gave me my first pair of glasses and called them "general" I guess meaning I could use them for reading or driving etc. When I received the glasses something was not right and it never got better. They did not improve my vision and they certainly didn't work for close & far. I felt very sick when trying to get used to them and when I complained to the doctor they kept dragging me along saying "just keep trying to get used to them". At first I needed to try two weeks, then they said one month and eventually it was clear he wasn't going to be accountable. I went to get a second opinion and the second eye doctor said that the prescription was too strong and the astigmatism was reversed on Dr Folkers prescription. Glasses are supposed to make your life easier, but his prescription made me miserable for months before I went to a different doctor. He was happy to take my money and unwilling to help me improve my life.

I’ve been to many optometrists over the years, and my experience at Shields & Shields Optometrists was by far the best I’ve ever had. The entire team was incredibly professional, friendly, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made the whole process feel comfortable and stress-free. You can tell they truly care about their patients and take pride in providing excellent care. If you’re looking for an optometrist who is knowledgeable, attentive, and provides outstanding service, I highly recommend Shields & Shields. I’m very grateful for such a great experience!

I am absolutely impressed with the quality of customer service that was given to us by Brian. All the staff was very friendly and helpful appreciated everyone there. Brain helped my husband find his sunglasses and was very knowledgeable on the frames and lenses side of things. He went above and beyond to help my husband find the perfect sunglasses that he would be happy with. Thank you for your patience and appreciated the time given.

Dr Goshe was amazing in his listening skills and diagnostic abilities, treating my husband and getting him the help he needed not only to relieve symptoms, but also to avoid serious consequences.

The staff is very efficient and nice. Dr Barough is the best in every way. Knows her business, and explains things so I understand. Answers any questions and she is a nice lady. She makes me feel like a part of our team in caring for my eye issues. I am very comfortable putting my eye care in her hands.

Eastern Eye Associates is one of the least helpful practices I have ever worked with. My son has an extremely high prescription, including no vision in one eye. We have been to many eye doctors. From EEA we purchased glasses that continue to break in the same spot on a regular basis. I was told by Debbie that I should have spent more on the frames, even though she suggested these. I called to get a PD from the office and was told that they don't provide that information to patients. Even though it is necessary for the glasses, it's not "part of the prescription." I explained that there is no one local to make sport goggles for my son. I have found one place in OR that makes specialty goggles in such a high prescription. EEA will not tell me the PD so I can order the goggles. They also cannot recommend someone locally who makes these goggles. It seems like they only want people to purchase from them, even when they do not and ca not make the product. They are the only place I have ever worked with that will not provide this information. The doctors are fine, but then your dumped into Debbie's lap, and things go downhill from there. We will not be returning...ever.
