Very fast and efficient for the annual contact experience. Professional processing of insurance by front office staff. They all seemed friendly and welcoming. Only issue is the contact lens prices seem a bit high. But overall will keep going back.

Dr. Diegel and his technician, Lea, took great care of me. The doc was extra vigilant given my family history of retinal detachment. Lea was very thoughtful, had great glasses rec's, and improved my 'cool factor' by a few points! Overall, this was a great client experience!

Cape Fear Retina staff were both friendly, professional and informed. Dr Brownlow was personable and was willing to explain what he saw in my eyes and reassure. Very likable and professional.

KJ and Briana are super great. They provided excellent service. KJ was patient, helpful, positive, professional and an all-around amazing representative of this optical studio. Briana answered all of my questions and also had a great attitude.

Amazing! In a day when small businesses are being edged out and bespoke is $$$, Jim is a rare find. Not only are his prices super reasonable, but I literally walked in and out with a finished product before my kids could even get bored, lol. Jim replaced my scratched up lenses with the perfect shade of polarized new ones in under 10 min, when everyone else said they don't work with designer/high end frames for fear of breaking them, or outsource to a lab... the difference is Jim has his own lab! And he is such a nice man too... so thankful to have found this place and highly recommend :)

The people are wonderfully nice & care about my eye needs. They see me quickly with not much wait. The doctors are respectful, professional, & friendly.

I was charged an extra $49 for a “wellness check” on top of the comprehensive exam even though my insurance copay was only $10. They also charge too much for their glasses. The front desk associate was pleasant, but the sales consultant at the end of the appointment was not helpful and not warm. They insisted on the extra payment in order to release my prescription despite my not having the extra money with me and my request to be given a bill. I was so concerned that this place was a scam that I researched my record from three years ago to compare the prescription to make sure it was right. Thankfully, it seems fine. However, when I told my old eye doctor office about the “wellness charge” I was told it should be a part of the comprehensive exam and something’s not right. Don’t waste your time and money with My Eye Doctor in Machesney Park.
