Dr. McAllister and the assistant were great. I appreciate that the doctor explains things in an easy to understand manner. The visit was quick and efficient. My wait wasn’t long, however the front desk staff had checked people in that walked in even though I had signed in and had been waiting in the waiting room.

I am upset that Dr. Chang and his receptionist are Not on the same page! I have a daughter who has high performing Autism. Dr. Chang convinced us into opening a Care Credit account to get the isee contact lenses that cost $1,600. We recieved them on a Saturday and by Wednesday my daughter kept struggling to put one in her eye. She also told me that she would still see blurry when working on her chromebook at school. I called the office and spoke with Myra and she explained if my daughter could not use them that they would refund me $1,300 out of the $1,600. I was ready to return them that day but they said I had to wait until Saturday. Dr. Chang tried his best to convince my daughter to keep using the lenses. I explained to him that she has special needs and it is not as easy for her to deal with these types of things that seem minute to us. He examined her eyes to note down her eyesight had improved with the lenses by quickly asking her if she can see better when he would adjust the lenses on the machine. My daughter had stopped wearing the lenses and was using her eyeglasses for 5 days now. I think he was just trying to show proof that they made a difference in her eyes permanently. Which makes no sense since he prescribed her the eyeglasses she was wearing 2 weeks prior and she sees the same through them. He then told me he would charge me $500. I explained to him that his staff told me the charge would only be $300. Dr. Chang's response was, "Well she shouldn't have told you that." I have 4 daughters who I've brought to Dr. Chang for their eye exams and glasses. Due to him charging me $500 instead of $300 as Myra told me over the phone, I will no longer take my girls to his office. I will also send this report to medical/I.E.H.P and to the Better Business Bureau.

Dr Doyal is our family’s favorite doctor! We started seeing him in his previous office in Providence and followed him to Warwick!! 5 stars truly aren’t enough for stars for him!!

Excellent care for our family over a wide variety of vision issues for many years. I would recommend without qualification to anyone needing any level of vision care.

Karla did a great job explaining how to take care of glasses and had a great review of the whole kit to make sure it would be understood. Also appreciate how she made sure the glasses fit

I have macular degeneration, and I need monthly injections in my eye. This place, which supposedly is a retina specialist clinic, have only one doctor that can give eye injections, and he only works one day a week. I got a call today from the Institute saying he’s changing his schedule, and will only be working one day a month in the future. Now they are trying to hire another doctor that can give the eye shots back to a once-a-week schedule. But until they get him, now I have to wait 2 more weeks past my next appointment to get my next injection. I was told that timing is critical when needing to have these injections, and 6 weeks between appointments is not good. To anyone needing eye injections, this is not a good place to go.
I now have another complaint. I needed to renew my California driver's license, but because of my eye situation, I needed to submit a form to the DMV signed by my eye doctor. At the Institute, they told me at my appointment that a doctor would need to fill out the paperwork I gave them after my appointment, and they would notify me when I could pick it up. (they won't mail these). About 5 days after my appointment, I get the call saying it is ready for me to pick up. I then drove 45 minutes (I live in Tehachapi) to get it on a Tuesday, and the office can't find it. So they have me sign a duplicate form, and they said they would have the doctor that comes in on Friday complete it with his signature, and they would make an exception to their policy, and mail it to me, since I drove all that way without being able to get it. Problem is, it's now two weeks after that Friday, and I still have not received it in the mail. My complaint is that they seem incompetent at times.

I’ve gone to several places to get glasses and they always always seem as if they're rushed to get you out of there while they’re checking for your prescription. … More

I have been going to Dr. Smith for almost 30 years. He is a great Optometrist and his staff is excellent. My eyes are very hard to diagnose and he is one of the few that I trust. I have great confidence in his judgement.

My experience with Woolfson Eye was great from start to finish! The whole staff was so nice and answered all of my questions. Dr. Woolfson put me at ease initially by watching the YouTube video about the surgery because he seemed so laid back. Speaking with him on the day of surgery was the same feel as in the video. I’m so thankful for his expertise and fixing my eyes and I wish I would have done this years ago!! 10/10 would recommend him and his amazing staff!!

My eye exam experience was fascinating. It has always been that way and I expect nothing less from my optometrist. I have been with him for the past 6 years and every time was a great experience. He is very kind and always knows how to light up the atmosphere. With his engaging personality I can’t help but smile. He’s also very attentive to detail and thorough. His staff members were also kind.
