Dr. was not very nice. Did not explain well. Talked to me like I was a 3 year old and kept giving me that, are you stupid look...(the one where a person says something to you and you squint your face up and start looking to the left or right and then dragging your voice going, huuuuh?)...😒. She was just disrespectful and I had to tell her. I've never had to wear glasses before, it was my 1st time. She didn't put my PD distance on there and I had to go back to get her to do it. She told me at first that she doesn't do that in her office because she doesn't sell glasses. However, we got it straight and she did it because no matter where you go and the places who do sell them won't give you the information. She sort of snatched the paper out of my hand to rewrite my prescription. We went back and forth about it for a minute, but the experience was not good. She's dry and rude, I hate that I went there in the first place.

Dr Berbos is an excellent Opthalmologist. I went to see him because I had some vision issues and needed to have my eyes dilated. He took great care of me, explained the issue I was experiencing (Vitreous eye detachment) and why it was happening to me. Sounds scary, but he explained how it’s very common as we age. He made several
follow-up calls to check in on me. He made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions.
I also had a routine eye exam with the Optometrist Dr Yang. I loved her expertise and kindness. She fitted me for contacts. Gave me two options which both make complete sense. She wants to see which one I feel more comfortable with for my monovision.
I am so thankful I found Dr Berbos and Dr Yang.

Posted by Emily for Martha Howard: I am a few weeks from 95 years old and I had bilateral Cataract Surgery at ECCG. Best decision I ever made, best surgery service I ever received, and best doctors I’ve ever met, Dr. Taylor and my surgeon Dr. Ervin. On the evening of each surgery Dr. Ervin, himself, called me to see if I was experiencing any pain. I did not experience pain either time, and I highly recommend this surgery at ECCG!

I have gotten several pairs of glasses here and since I have had great service I planned on getting another pair of regular glasses and sunglasses. Time has not been kind to this store and I don’t know why. I had been calling and calling and nobody ever answered the phone. I actually called the store when I was standing right outside. I could hear it ring and both women in the store looked at it and completely ignored it! I walked in to ask them how to make an appointment and they were incredibly rude and had an attitude that was totally uncalled for. I tried calling the number they gave me several times without any luck. I will NEVER call this store or go to any of their other locations either. Whoever owns this store needs to get rid of the people who work there now and start over with people who actually want to be there and are good at a customer service position. If that doesn’t happen soon I can’t see that store staying open much longer. All he has to do is look at the current reviews compared to the ones 4-5 years ago and see how big the difference is. I hope he overhauls it soon because I liked the glasses, they were made really well and they had great customer service as well. Good luck!

The person that assisted me in getting the correct glasses for me was named Jo. She was very helpful and knew her craft very well. I had a great experience. Thanks again for everything

I feel comfortable in recommending this location, especially Dr. Alexander Nehas. I found her to be very thorough in her exam, explanations and customer care. I was very confident in the quality of the exam she gave me and for the first time in a long time the prescription seem to be perfect when I put the glasses on unlike other places, I’ve had to return so many times to have prescriptions adjusted ,lenses made differently but these the moment I put them on, I could see clearly, and there was a marked difference in the quality over past locations I’ve been to . The office is clean and all the staff was very polite and professional and the service was quick. Phones are answered promptly. Unlike Vision works where I struggle to get a phone call returned or an appointment made. This review is for their Niskayuna only location. I had a terrible experience at the Colonie location where the glasses arrived scratched twice and were given to me in that condition. Luckily, I noticed the damage before I left their counter. I had to wait almost 2 months and several appointments before I got a pair that was not damaged so my positive review is for the Niskayuna location only which was professional, efficient and high-quality.

Waited longer then I think I should have given that there were 4 team members having conversations. I was told my out of pocket would be a certain amount, leaving out the option to take a test that my insurance does not cover. Instead of giving me the option. I understand the pros of the test but I’ve been to other stores where they let you know your insurance does not cover and that will be the cost of the test instead of “your total for your visit will be X amount including the test” in other words the test cost the X amount.
I appreciate the honesty and the customer service of other locations. I will chose a different store for my next visit.

I made a smooth transition from Dr. Pharr to Dr. McFarland.. Really miss Pat (Office staff) because the staff now has a bigger turnover every year and could work on being customer friendly. Dr. McFarland is soft spoken but gets his exams done... My appointment on 11/18/20 was a little disappointing because of the comment made by one of the staff members. Because the glasses are so expensive & over priced; I informed them its not in my budget even if my insurance paid half. I did mention where I was going with my prescription and I was told "so you going to get the cheap glasses" Please understand it don't matter what the cost; as long as the prescription works & I can see... I really didn't appreciate that comment from a professional staff as such.....

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!
My Emergency appointment was supposed to be 4Pm. The office called me to be there at 1:30PM because the Corneal Specialist needed to leave early . I waited from 1:30PM to 03:00PM to be called. When I got Into the room I was told the doctor isn’t at the office yet. The woman who took me in said this is normal, she sees delays all the time with her daughters appointment.
I said I’ll be leaving since there’s no guarantee I’ll be seen any time soon. The woman said rudely “it’s your eye”. Not professional.
As I was leaving I walked into the doctor but I was nowhere in line to be seen soon so I left. If you value your time please don’t go here and if you would like to be at a professional office don’t go here .
